Is there an up-to-date pdf on what dentists can prescribe? I told my dentist about my opiate tolerance as he is a close friend and he said usually he dishes out Endone or Fortes, sometimes aweful Tramadol (but he reckons its bad, me too) He said he hasn't looked into it but I thought I'd do some of the leg work for him if I can. As he's a close friend he'd give me whatever I want. I was thinking Dilaudid solution-biggest bang for buck. It's 1mg of Hydromorphone per 1 ml and here comes the cracker.................it comes in 473ml bottles without any nasty other ingredients.
Anyways, this is for dry sockets after wisdom tooth extraction. As i have a tolerance the Endones ain't doing much (took 40mgs for pain relief)
Any insight, links etc welcome !!!!
Alternatively I think 30mg Oxycodone suppositories might also be available.
Lastly, a while ago I heard there is a difference between dentist. Some have lower qualifications or something and can only prescribe less. Is this true, are there 2 classifications of dentists or is this just the last dentist telling me this as he is also an opiophobe (got Fortes from that one a year ago for bad toothache)
