What are you munching on? v. the cheese n' fish cake crew

Yeah, there is so little meat on a wing. Personally I prefer to put them on thighs or drumsticks.

Too bad there isn't an asda near you. For about £2 you get a good amount of frozen thighs. At least 8.

If you time it well you get some decent deals on reduced meat and fish and the Co-Op here. Tis pure pot-luck though. Got two large smoked haddock fillets for 1.50 t'other day which made a scrummy biryani. Yesterday there was sod all reduced. Ooh! The excitement!!! =D<3

Same in our local Asda.

I've just sliced of two small rounds of Tiger breadstick. Topped one with some chicken and a bit of cheddar and the other with just cheddar and let it melt. It's going down a treat.

I keep having to shoo Mr. Sadie out of the kitchen as my slow roased Mesquite smoked pork joint is done and he keeps shredding meat off and eating it. They'll be none left at this rate.

It is falling off the bone tender though.

Pork was simmered and cooked last night. Took it out to cool and slice and stuck back in the juices over night and pulled the fat off. Made crackling tonight out of it and served my pork with home made gravy and home made apple sauce along side courgettes, peas and Mash with chives, parsley and smoked paprika in it.

Lush dinner. I'm stuffed.

Made a massive fish pie with my housemate. And put a garlic bread in the over because you can't have enough carbs in a meal apparently.

Homemade oven roasted tomato soup followed by chicken and brocolli bake with sweetcorn then a kit kat. Want to eat more.

Share the recipe Spade.....

I've never made my own Tomato soup. But I'm really picky about tomato soup. I only like Campbells. The rest don't taste right.

Pasta, with chicken, smoked bacon, LEEK, mushrooms & sweetcorn tonight with some low fat single cream to bind it, in fact some left over that i might have - yum

Slightly less thrillingly I am currently finishing the last of that "chicken" and bacon pasta thingy from last night. Not bad at all considering. Especially with that sauce which may or may not be Frank's.

I keep hearing alot about this frankys famous sauce lately.

It must be getting quite well known by now i would imagine, just by people reading this site.

I seem to get stuck with those mistakes that are easier to repeat. Large, leafy and somewhat onionesque veggie or long, thin, streak of piss? Not a mistake I'd make twice in any meal I made. Not deliberately anyway.

You had better not be taking the leak again, hard to tell sometimes:)

You can always tell when it is but a stray leak when you hear the accompanying sigh of satisfaction and possibly see the steamy cloud of relief if you're close enough to be wary of splashbacks, Blue ;)

Dee: Think it's been round for ages now but has only popped up in my local shop recently and given the paucity of chilli-based products they have on offer it had to be tried. Nice stuff but do need a good slosh of it.

Well, i am partial to a little spice myself, but, not to the extent when its interfering with all the other flavours and tastes.

Its all about balance for me with heat.

Some of these sauces are just to damn hot!....

Some are a bit much even for me, to be honest. If you're measuring in drops and it ain't acid then you've probably gone astray somewhere. That Frank's one is pretty mild but also very tasty. Probably compare it with Tabasco if anything. Smokier and more fully-flavoured though.

I think boredom is causing me to munch like fuck, fancy some cheese n crackers now with pickled onions on top, been eating a lot of that recently.
