I'll need to go eat soon, it's 5:30pm and not had a single thing today. I only woke up an hour ago though!
 
having a right old cereal binge eats. gonna end up a fatty, they wernt made for 7 bowls in the evening
 
Better get back on the beetroot daniel san!

There's a distinct lack of anything I want to eat round here.

smoked mackerel can repeat on ya, but not fresh.

i like the idea of chippies and supermarkets trying to get people onto mackerel, it's ubiquitous, healthy, really tasty, brilliant fish.....BUT, is so healthy cos its very oily, so it turns very quickly, even well refrigerated.....even frozen, mackerel degrades fast...

After one day the flavour strengthens, after 2 it starts to taste a bit "high", like a well hung pheasant,after 3 days the flesh gets a bit fluffy....after 4, give it to the cats.

And supermarkets sell mackerel a good 7 days after landing, is no wonder a lot of people dont fancy mackerel, or are put off after buying it...

I once bought some from tesco to use as bait, honestly, it wasn't fit for consumption, not even enough consistency to use as bait, fucking shocking.

If you can't get mackerel from a trusted source (sorry mods), that you know is selling the previous day's catch, don't bother, get tinned.

lol@mackerel rant. Myy favourite fish, top bait too. Straight from the sea, cooked straight away, even sashimied, nothing better.

Fascinating! The chippie in question is an "award winner" so they should hang their heads in shame if they are indeed serving up foosty fish/morbid mackerel.

The taste, although strong, seemed pretty normal to me but I'm no fish connoisseur. I'm sure it was not as fresh as you're used to anyway, MM!

I could murder a chippie like. I've not eaten yet despite it being half 3 in the afternoon and not sure what I plan to eat either, can't think of anything that I really want.
 
Bacon, scrambled egg, toast and tea. Best way to cure those shitty slight hangovers. Feeling great now! :)

It is indeed, hangovers demand carbs and fat.

Made a pizza for dinner, easy scone-like base, veggie toppings, it was fantastic!

While prepn' that I pulled things together to put on slow-cooker beef, chorizo and butternut stew for tomorrow. Got a pile of greens that need a stew to go with them haha - should be fitting as its bloody chanking here.

Went to the mothers for my favourite tea - cheese rolled in smoked ham, covered in a white sauce and baked in the oven, with rice and broccoli. No recipe needed - so basic but so good.

B&W that sounds bloody lush, would never have thought of putting those things together like that.
 
You enjoy that toasted sandwich mate because soon you'll either be eating prison food or not able to eat at all because of a broken jaw. ;)
