Really and truly, Ms Eff. Endless font of instantly forgettable minor trivia is I.

Those choccy monstrosities are forever on offer in both Co-Op and Spar here. I take this to be a bad sign. Are they not just brownish sugar wrapped in beigeish sugar? Suppose that'd be the point really. Have a strange aversion to oversweet cereal. Was a tad tempted by CocoPops earlier though cos they're only a quid a pack at the moment... opted for... raspberry Jordan's crunchystuff and a massive bag of generic muesli instead though. Wildchild me.
they're the spawn of Satan's arsehole, and they'll always be the spawn of Satan's arsehole.
yes, even despite the fact they no doubt taste delicious ... breakfast should not taste of nutella tho, or chocolate. unless it's nutella on toast. [edit] or pain au chocolate

Effie, you're eating the Spawn of Satan's arsehole ... and enjoying it. just so you noe ;p

this does not make you a bad person however ... and as you're in your early 20's, you can pretty much get away with such controversial travesties

[edit] i do however take exception to this kind of product being marketed at kids, and mums that don't give a fuck. advertising for this kind of product shouldn't be allowed to be targeted at the kids market.

A beauty of an indian. gonna have to get some pics up
oh, please do. I *heart* Indian food like no other. it's the best for veggie alts. food of thee gods

[edit]
I just ate one of these [206 cals] ... with loads of veg on the side - beans, broccoli & a little (well chewed, kthnx) sweet corn ... & tons of seasoning n pepper. it tastes okay for what i consider to be diet food and calorie counting. and they're only a quid a pop

unfortunately i'm in much needed diet mode atm, and it's core rations for me ... the unlimited vodka chaser doesn't count though

Indian takeaway pr0n <3

Fuck. Not had a proper (as in a totally improper Bengali/Pakistani made for the UK masses bastardisation of a pale imitation of a whistful dream of actual Indian food... but totally scrummyummy anyway <3) Indian for a dog's age :(

Did "make" a curry earlier. Beef meatballs (50p at the end of the day) with a jar of Sharwood's Rogan Josh sauce... did add a coupla things though in my defence... but, for the prosecution, said things were only generic Madras curry powder, Nandos extra hot peri-peri sauce, black pepper and half an Oxo cube :o

Tasted decent enough though :p

Just munched...

Greatest of all the Nik-Naks <3

dunno why but that indian gave me bad heart burnt, dont usually get it from hot spicey food etc, odd

Just stuck a dozen escargots with garlic butter in the oven.

Yep, missis been to Lidl this morning :D

£1.99 for a dozen.

%)

McChicken Nugget meal. Damn tasty! Though I was put off when I saw these 2 very obese Americans order around 4 extra large meals and a few other bits and pieces just for 2 of them. I was sure there must be more people coming but nope they ate it all.

very tasty too.

Now slicing me way through french airdried salami with walnuts in.

French week at Lidl innit.

And got one of them gay fruit and berry 4% rekorderberg ciders, still on 3 for a 5er....i know not good alc content-wise, but very tasty.

I was drinking Ricard with some french people once in deepest darkest france and was telling them about Ouzo and they were lamenting they may never get to try it. The very next day we went to Lidl and whaddayouknow it was Greek week. Love Lidl <3

I'm eating co-op seeded bread toasted with strawberry jam. A taste of summer while it hailstones outside.

Most pleasing thing to enter me mouth today was... a puff pastry parcel kinda thing stuffed with pollack, shrimp and mussels in a white wine-type sauce. By all rights it should've been rather nasty coming sealed in plastic with a fairly lengthy use by date but was actually quite tasty. Mussels were a bit of an exaggeration though - the black stringy bits from round the edge of the actually tasty bit of mussels would be nearer the mark. Rest of it was nae bad for cheap fish-based pastries though :)

Now have the munchies... probably gonna have to be a crisp-type thang as I have little else to hand for munchies. Although one of those Batchelor's instapasta 'n' sauce thingies is also a possibility. Am rather fond of 'em. Especially when on offer for less than 50p a pop.

Ooh! You may've nobbled me there, Knock. Been so long since I saw the Cream 'n' Cheesy flavour I forgot all about 'em 8o

Definitely give Scampi 'n' Lemon a good run for their money... and probably beat 'em to the win I must admit.

In other lamented, late and lost snackstuff news, I really, really, REALLY wish Pot Noodle would bring back the Seedy Sanchez flavour cos it was fuckin' lush <3

Incidentally, I opted for the instapasta 'n' sauce option. Chicken and mushroom flavour with loadsa sillyhot chilli sauce added, a few lomticks of cheese and a bit of fresh tomato - the latter makes it proper food, no? ;)

Instapasta was perhaps marginally healthier than crisps!

On Saturday I went to the chippie, actually one of the best chippies I know, L'Alba D'Oro in Edinburgh, for a fish supper. Unlike most Edinburgh chippies, their batter is crisp and the chips are almost crunchy with a fluffy interior. To me, that's how chippies should be. The traditional Edinburgh chippie is soggy from start to finish and I don't like. I'm a full fan of Edinburgh chippie sauce (brown sauce + vinegar for the uninitiated) though.

Anyway, I digress. As I entered on Saturday night they were serving up the last battered haddock (I presume) to another customer, yet there remained a breaded fish of some kind still sweating it out in the display area. Turned out it was mackerel - either that or a 10 minute wait for normal fish.

I've never had mackerel from a chippie before, struck me as rather odd, but I went for it and it was OK but rather strong tasting and I got to sample it over and over again that night with burps and eventually a bit of puke at around 3am.

I did enjoy the novelty though!
