What are you munching on? v. Noodle nights n greedy monkeys

Had a bit o' battered fish (cheapo reformed fish rather than an actual fish, sadly) with Southern potato wedges. Should probably have splashed out on some proper fish but I got arrested last time I splashed out at the Co-Op :\

ooooo you're such the bad boy! If it weren't for the hassle it'd be totally hot. Lets face it though, It's a pain in the arse.

mrs been having a bit of a rough one but getting better so to show how proud i am of her made a lush candlelit meal:

roast squash, beetroot, red onion and feta cheese in olive oil, balsamic, lemon and rosemary, mashed potato and parsnip with cracked peppercorn cheddar, field mushrooms stuffed with breadcrumbs, peppercorn cheese and sautéed onions and some lush cherry tomatoes on the side. also got her a nice bottle of red. def got some brownie points for that one and it was fucking delicious :D

Had another one of those Polish packet soups for lunch with a round of bread 'n' butter I can't believe wasn't butter. Was actually a tomato and noodle one but will pretend it was the Sour flavour one cos I've not mentioned that yet and is yummy. Dunno what flavour "sour" is meant to be (beyond the obvious) but is kinda like cream of chicken with the chicken replaced with loads of garlic and lemon juice. Tis yummy.
 
I've got some sour ones here Shammy baby. I'll send one down for you if you wish.

Me getting to the post office has been a bit of a let down these days though.

Promised another BL'er a phone with charger that i've still not sent. Pretty pink too. Perfect for a guy. Also promised some other bits and bobs that I've yet to get let alone send.


Tonight's dinner was meant to be Shepards pie with loads of fresh steamed veg on the side but the other half had different ideas. It's now hot dogs in crusty bread with wedges. Meh, Healthy eating tomorrow I guess.
 
Have had a few PO issues myself which I'll surely get over soon...

Dinner tonight will probably be either battered fish or a pie with wedges. Tis the one problem with my freezer - tiny and with a broken flap that lets the cold out so nothing quite stays frozen and needs to be munched fairly quickly so it doesn't go off. So that's the best part of a week with fish and wedges. Pies were on offer and not frozen so may use them to break the monotony.

I would've gone for shepherd's pie everytime but hot dogs in crusty bread sounds good too - what kinda hot dogs do you use? I don't really see you as a tinned hot dog kinda gal somehow but sure I see wrongly. I have a mild fetish for tinned hot dogs munched cold straight from the tin.
 
As long as they keep the warmth where it should be flaps are all good.

PS: Speaking of hot dogs - the veggie ones are great. Taste identical to the "meat" ones. Tis one of the few properly good fake meat products that really work well. Even better than pate, Sadie ;)

Yeah Evad said those dogs were good too. Wasn't my purchase though. Also, I've not seen the veggie dogs at my local shop. I'll still keep an eye out though.
 
I liked the pate as you may have noticed. Didn't taste owt like meat but I was force-fed veggie food for years and got quite fond of the taste of Quorn and similar products. The veggie hot dogs don't taste anything like fake meat though. You also didn't answer my enquiry about your own heated canines - tinned or something more exotic? Am having a vicarious hot dog moment.
