What are you munching on? v. gimmie toblerone n' beetroot

Was a late dins but didn't get up til lunchtime and got distracted by cooking tomorrow's dins at dinnertime today too. Actually wasn't expecting great things from the fillet. Have often heard it is overpriced and overrated but for £2 I thought it well worth a go. Really was tasty though. Even when cooked by a steaknoob. If yer gonna pop yer meatslab cherry then make sure it's a fine slab o' meat, I say. This fine slab had just enough fat to render down and keep it moisty even when slightly overdone but nae gristly bits of retch-inducing fatty lumps or owt. Damn fine dins if I do say so meself. And am not really a meat 'n' tatties kinda chap as a rule either. Might even have such things more often to break the stuffs simmered in liquid/frozen pizza monotony. As long as there's steak on offer more regularly than there usually is anyway. Expensive stuff 8o

How can you only have eaten steak twice in your life Shammy? Steak is the best!

I haven't eaten yet today because I'm hungover and feel sick but I think I'll force a sandwhich down me.

agreed, steak is class

why force it? especially if your trying to lose weight? leave it and eat tomorrow

on abit of a food binge, might be etiz related

Wasn't really a steak household as a nipper (think me dad had steak every now and then but pretty sure nobody else did - I probably got to try it once or twice but don't remember) have very rarely really been out for meals and I can't afford to be eating steak at home. Just happened that I spotted that there fillet going for £2 so snapped it up. Don't think I've ever seen steak reduced at the Co-Op before. Or probably don't bother looking in the expensive meat section anyway. Been trying to vary (and hopefully improve) my diet a bit of late so been re/discovering foodstuffs.

Got a bit of a sore throat to day so just had...

... for medicinal purposes. Also tasted nice. Which was nice.

I had a cheese, ham and salad roll in the end. I've given up on loosing weight until next week. Ate loads of shit this week, boozing all day yesterday followed by pizza, wedges and garlic bread and going away for 3 days come Tuesday for more drinking and no doubt eating junk so no point in pretending to be healthy. Once thats all out the way I'll be strict healthy eating, no drinking and maybe even some exercise.

Shambles: have you tried this special offer pizza which is on at the co-op on atm? (I've been having the cheese but there's a pepperoni one too)

It's unfortunately very nice. on spesh for £3 ... stuffed crust & stuffed with tomato. best frozen pizza I've ever had.
Had it mainly with half a red onion sliced, and a bulb of that garlic, which, incidentally, I bought some more of today, and they've halved the punnet size but kept it at the same price. Still £1.09 for about 5 bulbs tho

They're regularly on offer at Co-Op here, Marmz. Am also a fan. Was a late developer on this stuffed crust malarky - am a fairly recent convert. Happy convert too. Like the ones with saucy crustystuffing but find the ones with cheesycruststuff can be a bit dry and claggy - especially when munched cold the next day as tends to be the case with pizza. Unless I'm particularly pissed in which case I tend to polish off a whole one.

No pizza for me tonight. Have only just had lunch really - coupla cheese-topped rolls with chicken mayonnaise (seasoned with garlic, paprika, pepper and a dash of a new sweet(ish) chilli sauce I bought yesterday and never seen before) with tomato and sill-salad (amazingly, those "grow your own" salad leaves I bought weeks ago are still alive and providing just enough fresh, crunchy leaves for me sarnies and that). Was very tasty :)

How good is pizza by the way, one of my favourite foods. Why does it have to be so unhealthy!

Just ate some skittles and quavers. I picked up what I thought were pickled onion walkers but they must have been next to the quavers and same colour packet too! Hate quavers.

Had meatball curry and rice earlier for dinner. Really good.

Made some burgers with fried onions and mushrooms and an egg. Set the fucking fire alarm off AGAIN though. Second time it's happened in as many days, there's fuck all smoke n all and I have the extractor hood going full whack. Bet if the place burns down it won't make a peep tho.

Oh well, burgers are good. Put chili and cheese in one and just salt and pepper in other, coulda done with more cheese but eh.

Loads of salad n veg and chilli ricecakes with ham n chilli sauce. very nice

Pasta bake with broccoli and cheese. Some garlic bread followed by some skittles.

can count the amount of actual meals I've had in the past month on me hands, not good, got the Auschwitz look according to me mum

Had a lovely dinner of homemade onion gravy over venison sausages and mashed potato made with cream, parmezan and garlic infused butter, was very tasty indeed!

Fish it's all i have 4 salmon fillets and some chips n a few other odd s i need to go shopping on Monday.

Looks like it's gonna be Salmon n Chips till then actually i can make fish cakes as well i think a pie maybe beyond what i have in the pantry.

Gah, flicked onto this thread and my stomach suddenly lept out from it's hibernation in my cosy bed and is now hounding my sorry ass to walk to the fridge. Trout with couscous for lunch methinks, I do loveee the fish.
