been eating quite a lot of fruit... healthy, but probably a fuck load too much sugar

max: I struggle to put on weight, have been around the 8-9 stone mark for years now. One day it'll hit me all at once I'm sure though. I eat a lot and I'm the skinniest guy you'll ever meet.

I am kinda the same Spade. I have weighed around 10 - 10.5 stone for years. Never seem to put on any weight.
I thought that one day I would suddenly start putting on weight as I got older.
But I am 41 next month and still weigh the same as I did in my 20's.
Must be genetic though as all my family are slim build.

thats not too skinny, about average i think, im 5ft11 and 9.8-ish. was 9.4 awhile ago. when i was on the fitness etc was a stone heavier, maybe more

just had a savage oxtail n potato pie with chips n onion rings.made the pie myself.cooked the oxtail in stout n red wine with smokey bacon n veg for 4hrs.

took meat off the bone/tail and mixed it with some small cubes of potatos then made the pies up with both shortcrust n puff pastry.

i buy the pastry in aldi as it makes it easier n quicker plus i dont know how to make pastry.

I used to be like this now I'm about 11.3 and that's down over a stone since summer. If you cool the beans on the boozing and actually stick to working out it gets easier and you put on weight. Eating 5 meals a day helps, from what I read on here your quite enthusiastic about food anyway, try to avoid shit junk food and sweets as it's counter productive.

I'm on the oatcakes. Really sticking to this healthy diet, porridge and banana for breakfast everyday, 2 poached egg salad samwiches for brunch, a good protein filled salad for lunch and then whatever I get for dinner which is usually very healthy. I've adopted my snacks to fruit, yougurt or oatcakes aswell. Feel much better than I did eating cake, chocolate etc over christmas.

I love oatcakes. I much on them plain all the time. Will need to get a box tomorrow for going back to work next week. Think this week I'll try to have a couple of eggs with oatcakes in the morning or maybe some porridge (struggle to eat in the morning a lot though as don't feel hungry and feel sick!) then big bowl of homemade soup for lunch or possibly a salad then chicken and veggies / salad for dinner. Fruits and nuts for snacks. Oatcakes have quite a bit of salt in them I'm sure though (there's definitely something in them which is quite high, I'm sure it is salt) and by eating a few of them like I do you've already got your daily intake without needing to eat anything eklse. Need to be careful with that.

Had some crackers and cheese for brekky today, some veggie soup for lunch followed by loads of chocolate then a burnt chinese ready meal for dinner. The oven was on at full but I didn't realise so all the container ended up melted into the food and the food burnt and crispy. Was pish.

Also made some potato & leek soup with some homemade chicken broth today but it's very bland even with a stock cube and loads of salt, pepper and herbs in it, any ideas to give it some flavour?

this evening i cooked up some chicken biryani - bombay potatos - and split green pea dahl.did all from scratch with out jars or packets,it was hard going but well worth the effort.

biryani was a bit stodgy but tasty and the dahl was very good in my humble opinion.=D

mmmm, biryani is hard to get right, I've only attempted it a couple of times, and neother time was I completely happy with the results. I see no bacon in your days cooking bogman? This is very unusual for you, are you okay?

I'm eating a tin of mackerel on toast.
