Had a tasty veg stir fry followed by some chopped pineapple and strawberry bioput yoghurt.
 
Had Fray Bentos steak & kidney pie with some lovely curly fries.Unfortunately I haven't got any of those delicious Haribo Tangfastics tonight to finish it all off in my usual style.
 
Actually I just recently got into the new Haribos.. Im usually quite the traditionalist* when it comes to sweets but Ive been seduced by their young and vibrant spangly tangyness. They are actually really bloody lovely!


*extreme confectionary puritanism eg to a fishermans friend kind of level. I might allow myself some coke flavoured cat dander on a sunday but taste buds can blossom into all sorts of sin. I think the new Haribos are heaven sent so that would be ok.
 
Pasta, red pesto, chorizo sausage with red peppers for tea. Loads left too so that's dinner for the morra sorted.
 
Fray bentos will forever remind me of f&b
and old people. dont forget frey bentos and old people

with a bottle of Mc.EWAN's, of course. erm, well more than 1 or a couple ... hrmn

just had the second xmas dinner with family, turkey,stuffing,ham (being irish) roast potatoes,mash,carrots,parsnips and sprouts.
Proper full!
 
Got a beef madras simmering on the stove, hopefully its ready soon, I'm starving...
 
Missis is cooking tonight!!!!

very rare occurence. I'm doing my UTMOST not to stand over her shoulder offering tips/constructive criticism. I don't know why but it seems to annoy her.

anyway, she's keeping things simple, very wise IMO, oven chips and onion rings, frozen peas, fried mushrooms on the go, and a griddle pan just starting to smoke ready for two of the darkest most well hung organic sirloin steaks i've seen in ages, almost black they are and full of faty marbled goodness, bone dry....shockingly expensive, but be worth it UNLESS SHE FUCKS IT UP.

usual random healthy stuff... plaice, sardines, egg, beetroot, broccoli, tomatos, salad creme, yellow peppers, was gonna put some lettuce and other stuff on there but it wouldn't fit. nice n healthy to prepare me for later. Bon appetit

Loving the hard boiled egg and beetroot combo...there's something very oldskool about that whole plateful. hahahahah
 
dunno, I actually prefer sirloin, for cooking as a chargrill anyway, i like the fat on it...I'm a sucker for fat. On meat anyway. I'd only use fillet for carpaccio or tartare, not enough texture or fat IMO to serve as a steak.

Slow cooked sirloin????? You're havin a laugh.

Shin for stews and pies and puddings. Or oxtail.

Oh yeah, and me missis did a FUCKING GREAT job with the Bleh! sirloins, really cooked them almost perfectly.
