am i the only one that feels a bit guilty when eating tuna? even the canned one....

guess ive been watching too many fish dying off documetaries....

On special offer but don't think I'll bother again. Kinda weird tasting and with a strangely greasy mouthfeel. Bloody expensive too given how small the packs are.
 
It strikes me that Scotch rolls look suspiciously like your regular English bap or barm.

Currently waiting for my fella to finish cooking an epic fry-up. I'm starving.
 
The problem with tuna isn't only that way too many are captured, but the fact that they take ages to reach sexual maturity, just like sharks, swordfish and similar, they are basically fishing out lots of fish who haven't even gotten a chance to breed but are big enough to get caught. Plus all the bycatch. Dolphin friendly means that when they catch them they throw them overboard and not in the freezer, I read somewhere that most fish(like bycatch sharks) and sea mammals do not survive this, they get thrown back in the water either dead or almost there.

There should be a global ban on industrial fishing with trawlers.

In other unhealthy food news, just munched some pizza. Meaty pizza wiv extra cheese. Not actually all that great other than the added cheese. Only bought it cos it was priced at £1.44 but actually cost twice that at the till. Must've caught 'em as they were changing offers :!

You probably don't want to hear this but if it was advertised at the lower price (label on the shelf said £1.44) most places will honour the lower price if you tell them...


Used to be like that anyway.

I suspect you're right but making a fuss over a quid or so is just awkward. As long as you have said quid or so to hand anyway. If it'd been this time next week I'd've been up in arms :D

I don't eat any tuna.

Obviously if I ever catch one I'll eat the fucker. There are more and more being caught down here every summer over the last few years.

Agree about the sweets masquerading as breakfast cereals too. Rank looking.

I never eat cereals in the morning. Just an evening snack.
 
Well I suppose you shouldn't feel guilty if you don't care about fish stocks. Fishing methods. Future of the oceans etc.

Sorry, shouldn't put my ideas on other people. What I meant was, I agree it's not a good thing to eat.
 
I agree, that's what I was asking really. Did you ever watch Fish fight or whatever it was called with Hugh fernly Whittingstall? Really interesting and informative without being preachy

Hamster with extreme learning difficulties my arse. I got fucking learning difficulties man i'm telling ya. That post were I battered on about relatitivty and stuff, basically, i started out trying to write more on the kitchen stories man. About how we used the spare microwave at the back for wracking up lines and shit. This is the frustration, I just go off on one. Anyway, massive apologies for delay in getting back to you man. I somehow managed to get caught up in controversy over on some other thread - I think I caused it actually. I've also got some heavy shit on the outside world i'm trying to wade through. My drummer, well I thought I'd sacked him but in some moment of insanity must have reinstated him, has somehow managed to get charged with assault along with some weird shit to do with urinating in his girl friends flat and trashing a keyboard. He's also got 9 stitches in his hand from a blade his alcoholic menace of a girlfriend pulled on him when she was drunk out her head. How he both managed to get slashed with a knife and land the court date is beyond me. He's a fucking retard. This is the kind of shit i'm up against with the music at the moment man. To top it all off my faithfull laney amp of 10 years plus finally died on me.


Plus I got all sorts of shit going wong at work. They're trying to get rid of me for incompetance or some bullshit. I've had to get all this union shit sorted out. Incompetance? Absolute bullshit. If they wanna fire me for turning up 2 hrs late on my fourth day no sleep and then dropping 30 mg amt in the toilets at lunch than fine. But incompetance. Fucking assholes. Oh yeah, I posted a couple of my tracks on the music forum like you suggested. One of them is actually a new mix you won't have heard yet so you may wanna even check it out yourself. Actually, while i think about it, my mate has just written the sickest electro tune. I'll send you the link right in a sec man.
