You MUST be kidding. Smoked salmon's amazing. Hey, that reminds me of a time when I asked the forum if I should eat some which I suspected had gone off, and they said I should and I got terribly sick for 24 hours or so. Lesson learned I suppose. I've just eaten a fishcake with green beans, was alright.

I still have some camemburt in the fridge (still) but I only have a loaf of brown bread/some frozen chapatis so not really worth baking it. Must remember to buy some nice bread !

Or not quite so ethical according to Huge Furry-Whitteringtool. Farmed salmon is fed on krill which is just starting to be overfished cos there's nowt else edible left in the seas. Potential to collapse more or less the entire fishy food chain. Apparently.

Borderline ethical teetering on the brink of being horriby unethical ;)

Although definitely still ethical at the time of eating which is the important bit - enjoy :D

Fucking tablet ate my post. Autocorrecting POS. Lots of comments to retype, sigh.

I had only almonds, soup, and tea today, came quite close to a complete fast. It's coming along. Tomorrow I will feast and take pics if I can.

If you can blend the almonds into your soup it gives it some body. I have been trying to eat a handful or two of nuts per day this week - almonds and Walnuts. I normally chuck them into a smoothy to give it a bit of body (and saves me chewing coz I'm lazy like that).
 
^If there were made out of chicken, turkey etc then I could be tempted. I actually surprised myself last month as ate beef for the first time in about 6 years :D - it was raw and served wafer thin, was fn lovely!
 
Not bought tonight, Ben. Nor at all actually. Fella who loaned me a few quid earlier in the week also gave me a mini food handout - bread rolls, box of cereal and those ploughman's rolls. They've been open for a coupla days so need finishing tonight. Given I'm drinking cider (with actual apples innit 8o) they actually make damn fine munchies being all porky 'n' pickley 'n' cheesy 'n' that. Just having a second one to finish 'em off. Cooked 'em earlier wiv me dins cos the oven was on anyway so they're cold but cooked and not all cold 'n' stodgy from the fridge. It's almost like eating actual food :D

Bear: You a poultriarian or summat? Not a red meat kinda Bear? Surely that's against the rules of Beariness 8(
 
^if they get a bit dried out give them a quick sprinkling of water wrap them in kitchen paper and shove in microwave - sorts mosts things out :).

Nah I don't like red meat (cooked) - I've tried cooking a lot of them so many ways and just don't like the taste so gave up about 20 years ago. No point chucking money in the bin.

mmmmmm, carpaccio? i can't be fucked to check spelling at this time of night but i sure that looks wrong. But you know what I mean.

EDIT>>>>good steak tartare if= fucking lush Shambles, really, used to eat it in Poland regular as a starter to a night on the beer and vodka...fillet beef shaped round a raw egg yolk...some chopped raw onion, gherkin...salt and pepper, just scrape a bit into the raw yolf, bit of onion and gherkin, fucking hesven, got to be fillet though....

think they might have fucked it up by putting dill on it till we stopped them, Poles used to put chopped dill on fucking everything. strong pervsding flavour too :(
 
Home-made ciabatta that I started off yesterday ( you make a starter dough first and leave it overnight ). Almost a full loaf of the stuff, most of it while it was still warm from the oven and slathered in butter, nearly a foot of bread. Wasn't quite as open textured as it should have been, hoping the second loaf I baked given a longer rise will be closer to how it should be. I'm still stuffed from just munching my way through that. Couldn't finish my cherry crumble and custard. :(
