Cook it now - it tastes much better heated up :)

Cottage pie is one of those things that really doesn't taste better reheated IMO. It dries out too much. I prefer it to be cooked and then eaten straight off the bat.

My chunky beef chili con carne has been in the slow cooker since half 2, just had a taste there it's nice but not quite ready yet. Another 2hrs for the beef to tenderise a bit more and it'll be perfect. If I can wait that long. :sus:

I enjoy pies like that that the following day or two - if it gets a bit manky then just add a bit of gravy? I personally prefer it made without any meat at all and would substitute the meat for a can of Kidney beans. (I don't eat beef or lamb )

Pies without meat? What kind of bullshit is that? :?

Why don't you eat beef or lamb?

Just leave it in the hot oven uncovered for as long as possible - you could also just grill it for a bit and it would form a crust. If its still looking a bit dodgy then just grate some cheese on top (add a few dashes of Worchester sauce) and grill it until it goes crunchy.

If all else fails - serve lots of wine prior to eating and say you have made a 'rustic' pie :D

I put it in the oven uncovered for about 10 minutes then my dad came home, it didn't crisp over, but it was very tasty, me and dad both had seconds, it was a "rustic pie", it was more of a creamy mash topped mince and veg dish than anything else, the mash was delightful and the meat and veg was tasty too. I might go for thirds later and finish it all off.

My dad first came in and said "god, how many people are you cooking for" then we both managed to almost eat it all =D

My cottage pie before it is about to go into the oven :D

I see by the mug, that your Dad shops in Cath Kidston.. class :D

Mugz imagine you lost your drugs in the pie and now your dads going to be tripping ballz.

How do you know? You don't know where they are so they could be in the pie.

I'm tempted to go eat a buttery even though my belly is bulging with the two portions of chilli and rice I ate earlier and the bottle of red wine, they're just too delicious.

After 2 weeks of no chocolate or fizzy drinks (worried about diabetes) I craved in and ate chocolate tonight, it's been sitting in the fridge tempting me for days but I resisted. Today I couldn't and ate a fair bit of it, dairy milk popcorn chocolate or something. Amazing. Threw the rest in the bin to avoid further temptation.

Chicken in breadcrumbs with chips and beans. Was great.

That's what I'm talking about.

Chicken in the oven for 15 minutes (no fucking about). Chips in the fryer for 5, beans in the microwave for 4. Booft. Dinner done!

Fuck spending hours chopping shit up & whatever the fuck else cunts do when they make dinner. Shove it in one of the various heating up guys in the kitchen & wait.
