Me neither, it's really good. Lou doesn't let himself and us down by deliberately rephrasing the lyrics in an awkward and frankly SHIT new rhythm which is his usual performance technique. Instead he sings the words in time with the music. It's a Velvet Revolution.

Can can dancers and men with small brass eyeglasses pawing eache other on chaises longues inna darkness. Blind eunuchs for waiters, maitre d is an octopus in a top hat. Betty Boop glimpsed in a compromising situation through a chink in a heavy drape. That kind of joint.

Used to love a bit of Boards of Canada

Pete Standing Alone is another tune that takes me back. It's nuts how much music (and smells) can take you right back and give you a flash of memory so clear and fresh it's like it was yesterday.

Because I love them and I'm still buzzing from last weekend's gig, even though the acid and MDMA have long-since wron off.

I love Ver Joke, and I tend to put people off with my enthusiasm. Don't let it put you off though - great back catalogue, really varied and pretty innovative. Still making some of their best music today, which is unbelievable.

You can see why the KLF / Orb / PiL connections are there, which I know you'll appreciate.
