A friend put me off a girl the other weekend by pointing out she looked like Nick Cave. She didn't, but she kinda did; it was the hair. Just enough to make it so I could never contemplate having sex with her. Which probably wouldn't have happened, but y'know. :)

I've been really getting into breakdown-era Kinks recently. Though it's pretty weird stuff and seems silly at first, after a while you realise it's deliberately tacky and ersatz and just really works that way.

Ignore the corny, jokey delivery and just wait for the harmonies. Fucking magical.

I like The Kinks, went to see Ray Davies a few years ago, was shit.

My missis likes Nick Cave. I don't.

She looks a bit like Tim Minchin. She can't see it herself.
 
In fact, I really like a lot of the stuff on Sucide Sheep's Youtube channel.

Does anyone know if he ever DJ's? ... I've never seen any event's when I have googled.
 
I missed the Nick Cave conversation yesterday, but I'm with you Sam in that I can appreciate his talent and all, but he just doesnt do very much for me.

However, Camille O'Sullivan's awesome cover version of Nick Cave's great song 'God is in the House', most certainly does.

I definately prefer her singing it over Cave. So i guess i like his songs but dont like his voice much...
