Truly beautiful, have more winging its way to me now, right back into my music these days, must be a good thing <3

A good track to start the day :-

13th Floor Elevators - Slip Inside This House

Must be one of the best psychedelic tracks of all time, the album on LSD is something special.....followed up with TG D.O.A for a bit of compare and contrast ;)

Funki Porcini - Sleepy <3

I blame the booze running out and the temazis kicking in 8)
Awwwwwww Funki Porcini!!!
I just reacquired a CD copy of Ninja Cuts - Flexistentialism that my Dad sent me (he's fuckin amazing when it comes to music taste) and man.... All the tracks on that double CD compilation are absolutely brilliant!

Even though it's not Funki Procini, The Herbaliser - A Mother (for your mind) is from the same compilation and is absolutely lush %)

Neil Young - Hold Back The Tears

Sorry, more Neil. Just listening to it because it's absolutely not a near-perfect summary of life in general for me right now. Tears are something that happens when onions get peeled.

Did you ever check out the Neil Young: Don't be denied documentary on BBC4 not so long ago, dude? Was pretty interesting stuff. I was always a bit on the fence when it came to him in the past, but after watching that I had a huge amount of respect for the bloke.

Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues

Yeah, I really enjoyed that documentary! Neil Young's fascinsting - obviously not the most mentally stable guy in the world, but a genius with it.

I was suspicious of him for years - he was in my "hippy shite" pigeonhole :) . Then I listened to him at a mate's house after a messy break-up, tripping hevily. It just clicked then and there.

Yeah, I like quite a bit of his early stuff now, don't know why I put it off for so long. Got most of the stuff he did Crosby, Stills & Nash too which is pretty sweet.

I swear he was completely coked out of his face through that entire interview though. The shades weren't fooling no one!

Lou Reed - New York

Used to find this album embarrassingly middle-aged and banal in production.... I'm getting into it now. This says things about it and me but fuckit it's a classic, and it's not like he was really churning out the bangers at this point in his life.

and now, because itunes has put it on,

The King of New York by Kool Keith

just came back from watching Dark Shadows ...

loved it ... didn't know Alice had a part .... Tim Burton is obviously a huge fan because he built the whole of The Ballad Of Dwight Fry into the narrative of the film.

S'always Alice's best number on stage

Alice Cooper - The Ballad Of Dwight Fry

That film looks like the most uninspired pile of wank I have ever set my eyes on. Tim Burton must smoke a pound a day, and take a thousand valium, because he keeps forgetting that he already did that already. I bet he wakes up every morning and thinks "I've got it!!! A vaguely dark and spooky subject matter with a twist of my outdated eccentricity staring Johnny Depp and my wife! Eureka!!"

To be fair to the guy it's only the last 5 years that his films have gone down the pan, but he should have shut down the formulaic bullshit factory while he was on top. I can't believe he is the same guy who did Edward Scissor Hands or The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I do sort of agree with that, some of his earlier work is inspired and magnificent but he's ploughing a furrow, from which projects the top of his crazy hairstyle.

I'm listening to minimal boink thud techno courtesy of Murf on Soundcloud, and very good it is too.

I have absolutely no recollection of writing any of that above... I've just woken up fully clothed with a 5g baggie of MXE in my side pocket, empty packets on etizolam on the floor and some tin foil and an empty pen lid on my desk. There's a collection of powder in a little clump next to the tin foil as well... I'm guessing it's a synthetic cannabinoid of some sort, though I have no idea why i'd be chasing that when I have plenty of weed. :/
