Lead you on - Machine Gun Kelly

http://youtu.be/fo_NE7Yuk5c

Tell 'em drain the pool I'm sinkin fast
Come and save my life before It pass
Scratchin at the surface
But the bottom's where I'm at
Only place my addiction will tell me
That I'm free at last
So why the fuck you playin with my head
I said I'm done
Any and everything I had is gone
I says you won
You promised that we'd only be together for a minute
Then we finished
But my life had passed another year
Why the fuck is you in it?
I gave up everything for you
Even my house
Now I'm beggin on a nightly basis
To sleep on the couch
My councelor said I need to find a way
To block the pain out
I told him it was already too late
She is in my veins and he said

Tell me what lead you on
I'd love to know

Well It's just that
When I felt her the first time, I flew
Nobody gives me the high that she do
See, we fight all the time
And she leaves bruises on my arms
But the way she makes me feel inside
That girl can do no wrong
Now all my family hates me
Since I started fuckin with her
And all my friends done left me
Cuz they jealous that I'm with her
I tried to break it off
She gets me back with the feel
After everything she did
Why the fuck do I love that needle
Please help me

Twice I turned my back on you
I fell flat on my face but didn't lose

Look, this love's killing me
Literally
Everytime I start to pick you up
You finish me
Used to love waking up in the mornings
And feeling you
Now I'm just ashamed
And wearing long sleeves concealing you
Bitch you wasn't shit
How the fuck could you do this
Now my fucking life is ruined
Imma kill you bitch I'll do it
And so I
Tie it up
Stick that shit up in my skin
And overdose on your love
So I can't have it again
Uh

Ramones - Don't Come Close

When I first heard this, I thought it was horrible.

Road To Ruin is still definitely the first mediocre Ramones LP (of many), but this now stands out as one of the best songs. Funny what age and experience will do to you, eh? Turn you into a fucking wuss.

CJ was no Dee Dee (bless his dead, bipolar, junky, knife-freak soul), but I actually remember watching that at the age of fifteen. It was a really sunny evening - I swear that isn't rose-tinting either! :D

It was strange, because they were doing their (three year!) farewell tour and hardly anybody cared. Fast forward a few years (when they started dying rapidly) and everybody loved them all of a sudden. Funny how it works out, eh?

Classic TOTP tanktop presenter too. He hasn't a clue what's going on, has he? ;)

Hahahahhahahhahaa! I was just about to listen to some Wesley Willis as it happens :D

But chose instead to listen to summat else. Been watching a few music docs recently. Relevant to this post are the ones on Captain Beefheart and Sid Barret. So...

Pink Floyd & Frank Zappa - Interstellar Overdrive (live Belgium '69)

Have actually got the full gig somewhere. Sound quality ain't great but still worth a listen cos it's Pink Floyd playing Interstellar Overdrive with Frank Zappa for fuck's sake :D

Super dooper mate. Seeing as we are posting tracks that remind us of the summer time:

The Stranglers - Peaches

Interesting, I watched a documentary about Franks son Dweezil and how his life is having a Dad who's such a ledge. Dweezils music career never really took off but he could certainly play and made a better time of it covering his Dad's works. This is quality though:

Dweezil Zappa & Tenacious D - Crazy Train

=D

Not a bad version that, one of me fave Floyd tunes. Bowie's mic sounded muffled though. Thought the Scissor Sisters version was a travesty. *spits*

Not seen that documentary yet, I saw it on iPlayer the other day when I went on to see Biffy Clyro at the Radio One weekender. Yeah I know, say what you want about them I know they haven't done a decent album since puzzle and they actually came out and rocked the shit out of it for the first twenty minutes. I was surprised I thought it would be wall to wall ballads for the Radio One crowd. Anyway here's when Biffy were good:

Biffy Clyro - Who's Got A Match

What a riff for the few end bars though eh? Rocking.

That Bowie doc is well worth a watch actually. Some brilliant "unseen" footage of him and also damnably interesting for anybody who has even a passing interest in the divine David <3

In related news...

Iggy Pop & David Bowie - Passenger (live)

Bowie doesn't sing but does play. Is a nice version of a stone cold classic tune all the same :)

Also, pic of Iggy reminds me of an EADDer. Not gonna say which one but it does.

In Biffy Clyro news, never really listened to 'em much to be honest. Not a bad tune that one though. Also inspired me to post...

Well Paid Scientists - Buzzbomb/High Noon in Gotham City - To the Batcave Let's Go!

Relevant tune starts at 7:18. But both are quality =D

Well Paid Scientists - good call Shambles. That doc is on my to watch list. It's no secret that I love Sound & Vision but seeing as we are doing covers I'll post the Chili Peppers version instead:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Sound & Vision

Bloody Anthony comes in out of tune on that version but its the best version sound quality and it goes into 'Higher Ground' which they smash, so...

Oh yeah Shambles that 'Come To Daddy' cover is epic. That whole 'Irony Is A Dead Scene' is just amazing. 'Pig Latin' is special.

Had this track buzzing around my brain for the last few days so I better post it:

Rolling Stones - Miss You

Hi Dan! How you doing mate? Health and Safety audit go ok? Getting your track on next.

Cover?

SWEDISH HITZ GOES METAL - MONEY MONEY MONEY

Bloody great hair that metal bloke

Justin Hawkins - This Town Ain't Big Enough..

Yep gunshots included.

Also this: bloody nora why haven't I got a copy of Nevermind Forever. Rectifying now. Sharpish like.

Fuck, Dan comes in and blows the place up with a tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!!!!!!! Where have you been man? Awesome track mate. Magic.

Hahahahhaha! That metal Abba cover is quality :D

Don't really do Abba or covers thereof... but as we're all friends here I'm gonna admit to a guilty pleasure... that I actually feel no guilt for whatsoever =D

Erasure - Gimme, Gimme, Gimme

Was obsessed with Erasure as a kid. Was one of only two bands I would listen to. Obsessively. Other one was Pet Shop Boys. Had the live vid this is taken from and watched it a lot. Found out many years later that MamaSham thought I was probably gay until I brought my first girlfriend home in me late teens. Can't imagine why :D

Just to make me seem less well gay...

Nirvana - Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves

What? Cher covers are also well gay? Pfft. No pleasing some folk :p

Nirvana - Immigrant Song

Only gay if you're imagining Jimbert fiction whilst listening :D

Also, ya, you definitely need to get Nirvana Forever, Ben. Some quality covers on there. Full album is playlisted on PooToob if ya need a sample first.

And I agree that that is a fine tune, Dan =D
