What are you listening to? Part XXX - Sexxxy tunes for sexxxy folks

The video is not available partyfiend!! 😀

You smoking or eating the opium? Reminds me of my days sourcing dried poppy pods from Turkey!! "Lovingly harvested by our trained goat-herders - hens and chicks!! These will really lift you out of your sandals..."
Eating, far superior roa (unless you're an expert and have the correct and rare equipment like @TheUltimateFixx does). Haven't had any opium for a couple months but had a nice surprise yesterday when old friend rolled up with a nice piece for me. Not as potent as the bit we had last year, but 160mg has done the trick in a subtle-yet-effectiove style. Feels similar to 110mg of the last lot but more upbeat, swings and roundabouts as usual.

Using vpn which explains vid not available i guess, replaced it, got this on now (just notice Tricky playing in Manc this May...possibility of a great night that, could go either way ofc)

What a great track this is imo. It's a lot more kind of subtle and understated than many Queen tracks. It's all Brian May, with the vocals, and layers of acoustic guitar, demonstrating his skills at writing and playing folk style music.

There seemed to be a Creedence Clearwater Revival revival a few years ago, with this absolute banger suddenly appearing in everyone's algorithm.

I know not why that happened, but sometimes the youtube algorithm gets things dead right. Music is one thing it excels at imo. Understanding 'if you liked that, then you'll probably like this.'

I thought it was just me that had re-discovered this, but no, it seems everyone else at work at that time who was into music had had this make it's way to their attention too.

Loving Gerry Cinnamon so much ever since I first heard him. So many really good tracks.

My reaction to this is similar to yours when I posted Laura Nyro.

Save us from singer / songwriter blokes and their acoustic guitars. It was all done in the seventies.

Then this sealed it for me:

"The only reason I'm in this game is because it's full of imposters ruining music and my very existence annoys them and it pleases me. If you're a working class musician hearing this or reading it and you respect the art of song writing more than the art of pretending then you have a responsibility to get involved. There's a war on for real music and if you're sound and can write decent tunes then you're on the front line whether you like it or not."

What an egotistical moron,

Epitomizes everything that was so great about the bands and the music that John Peel championed :heart3:
