^ :) I remember you sending me that video, and I think I spoke to on the phone you after you'd seen them.

He does it pretty much perfectly. Good vid, even with your pill/g unsteady hand!

Yo la Tengo - I feel like going home

I feel like quitting everything just now, and going home, or somewhere to make a new home, as i'm not sure where home is, and i'm not welcome back 'home' with the family.

^ Heh, cheers for posting that, you just put a grin on my face.

I love this song and them! Especially me living in Bristol, (where they are from) and apparently being a neighbor from hell. 1 noise complaint to my name, another probably soon to follow.

They played at a night I went to recently, gutted I missed them. I will see them at Boomtown Fair though! I'm sure they're playing.

Ah, t'is probably my favourite Judy song tbh. Well, of course she didn't write it, but like Janis, she made every song her own cuz they sung them like they were.

Funnily enough, I dug out the Carnegie Hall album a few weeks back. I can't listen to it too much any more cuz it really exhausts me. There's so much pain in those songs, but it's almost comforting in a way.

"I miss the comfort in being sad", always made sense to me. 17 years ago today. RIP. :(

I've read the book. T'is slightly different than the film. Neither Susanna or Lisa are there during Daisy's suicide, but it's an excellent read. The Bell Jar is another favourite of mine. Which reminds me, I still have a book on Sylvia Plath's poetry to work my way through.

I've switched EP's now.

It is indeed 17 years! Fuck I feel old. I still remember exactly where I was when I heard. 13 years old, getting ready for school, with the radio on. All the grunge kids, me being one of them, wore Nirvana T-Shirts under our uniform shirts, got told to take them off, and ended up with detention, made to stand with our face to the wall and count the bricks in the pastoral suite.

It's scary how fast time flies. Funnily enough, I don't remember where I was when he died. I remember hearing about River Phoenix, and even Brandon Lee. But I don't think I realised Kurt had died until much later.

The Stinkypuffs - I'll Love You Anyway

I always thought this was a touching tribute to his friend. <3

You rode off in the sun, but I love you anyway. Too sweet <3

Seventeen years... pretty scary. I remember hearing it second-hand after it was announced on the news, from my dismissive and disapproving mother. I wasn't a massive Nirvana fan at the time (probably because they were pretty popular), but I liked a few songs.

Came to appreciate them a lot more later on and especially their influences. So it'd only be right to sling another tribute out there.
