Completely forgot to respond to this earlier! For you to know someone directly involved with the Boards of Canada project...I'm kinda awestruck. Boards of Canada are near myth. All I know is that they're brothers, they're Scottish and they're probably into psychedelic drugs. I think I'll always consider their work as my all-time favourite sound. Got all their music, even the old stuff that nobody's quite sure is theirs.

Aphex Twin/Richard D James fan here too...Selected Ambient Works I & II especially. Never heard of Plaid or Aube though. I'll check them out now. With Autechre I have Tri Repetae++ but I genuinely don't like it and haven't listened to anything else.

Also huge love for Freescha, Casino Versus Japan, Wagon Christ, Tycho, Am-Boy

I won't even start on the trip-hop 8)

There's so many awesome standalone electronic tunes out there too...Too many to count...But I'll share them all here with the good people of EADD and greater Bluelight ;)
