Cool :)

What is it with that song n KRIS though ?

To many it's like the definitive BDP track without a doubt the one everyone knows .

It's like people don't realise he has been consistently making good music for 25 years , strange :?

So let's recap - Michel Gira, the king of misery, will write one of his songs of redemption, damnation, betrayal and sexual sadism and insert your name into it? Wonderful. I'd be sure to give him somebody else's name in order to freak 'em right out. :D

PS: I know your real name, don't I Marmalade? ;)

That would make a great birthday present. I would like him to re-record Her but the girl would mention my old band at some point...

^ god I hate those adverts... When did they come in?

they've been plugging a new musicmoron of the week via those adds for months. unfortunately it works, and people love to pay for things they've been froi groi'd, regardless of quality.

I too hate them, almost as much as I hate Newton Faulkner, who rose to fame in a similar fashion but with ITV and CH4 and Jo Wiley to thank instead of pootube

I love the way Swans' back catalogue's run as a cottage industry these days, with both Gira and Jarboe packing and sending out their own records. I always dream of him sending me one with his receipt from the supermarket aaccidentally shoved in there so I can have a sneaky look at Gira's grocery shopping. Yes, that's weird.

Indeed. shame I don't really like the swans much ;p

besides, if he's up for doing that kinda thing for a few quid, it'd be worth propositioning him to do something else. maybe balancing a ball on his nose for an hour while people take pics or somethin. ;p

I can just imagine Gira's face upon hearing that request. God save us from the bellowing that would no doubt ensue. =D

Consider that a very black mark in your hitherto pretty untainted copybook. You can't see me right now but I'm definitely scowling.

Angels Of Light - Angels Of Light

Mellow and miserable. a time-honoured combo.

Ghostface Killah: winter warz ( with lyrics) It's like a Movie cos it tells a story but you gotta be down with the lyricism if you try it you might get it .

Thats The AlBum Raekwon - Only Built For Cuban Linx

This is just one of my fav. tracks

If you get it then u will love it !

Like all good stuff you have to listen to the whole album to even stand a cha ce of understanding the story

. None of this random shuffle shit.

Mellow and miserable music reigns here too, although my mood is frenziedly busy and fairly cheerful. So I've been whistling along (really) to Berlin. Lou infuriates me with lyrics like this, though: 'Just like poison in a vial / hey, she was often very vile'.

I can just imagine someone close to him trying to have a quiet word about that one... 'are you sure, Lou, really? You truly are a great lyricist, but I don't know, I'm not sure that's up to your usual standard. I'm just saying because I know what a perfectionist you are...' then abruptly being cut out of his life and probably sued for gross emotional battery or some other such stupid made up American crime.

Yeah, our Lou can tend to be a bit oversensitive when questioned about his art. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes that particular lyric very seriously indeed.

Although at least he cut out the last verse of the original Berlin about the vet... I think that may just have killed the mood.
