What are you listening to: And I will likely not listen to your music again.

nice trolling ;p

it's only had eleventy zillion hits because it's been shameless plugged via youtube's forced pre-video ad's that you can't skip for the first 30 seconds, before it'll let you watch the actual video you were trying to watch

as a fitting tribute, I played your link in silence for 30 seconds and then delighted in clicking the x in the top right hand corner of firefox

music at its worst.
viral marketing at its most shamelessfull
total shite

Your turn. What track would you rate above any other right now. Lets hear it.

Ahhrrr that's causing turmoil in my head. Queries that require me to make musical hierarchies are loathed.

...This Popchor Berlin cover of The Smiths is pushing all my buttons though.

It's not viral marketing if its being forced down our throats by the good people of Google.

Liar! Though I actually have memories of my older sister listening to that song repeatedly.

The Cult - Hollow Man

Gloriously shimmering goth-rawk. Just the ticket for an afternoon spent on the stims. Groovy.

Don't know if you already do, TES, but I have a feeling you might appreciate the genius of Lawrence, one of my all-time favourite songwriters. He's had three stabs at stardom, one in the eighties with Felt, one in the nineties with Denim and now he goes under the name Go-Kart Mozart. All incarnations being very different from each other but all great.

Anyway, here's one of his best - it's him reflecting on his childhood in the seventies over an epic tune. Builds to a really euphoric crescendo at the end that never fails to send shivers down my spine.

Denim - The Osmonds

Fantastic.

The Smiths were one of my first loves, to an embarrassing extent. I was overjoyed that I could finally swan about my room in the dark to catchy songs about how much fun it can be to not have any fun. I was gripped. :)
