Bought a bottle of tia maria earlier, and along with a CWE of a pack of co-dydramol and a bottle of robitussin, thats getting finished, won't get me particularly pissed, but will help ease my wait until 8am for a script refill. At least it should once I have some chlormethiazole available.

I used to be able to not only drink rum, vodka etc. by the pint but actually enjoy most of , vodka excluded, its nasty and just piss-fuel, but after overdoing it with a bottle of some 'cocktail' absinthe, that was truly disgusting, and suffering a truly brutal hangover and day long pukefest afterwards, I just haven't been able to drink spirits, or even lesser strength booze like tia maria. The thought makes my guts twitch and squirm. And the smell of lab alcohol, oh gods, I actually now have to wear my gas mask to handle it, even when I am merely washing something both non-volatile and utterly harmless. One whiff is enough to make me almost puke. iPA is just as bad if not worse. I tend to use methanol a lot more now than I used to, because the smell is a lot fainter and I don't have to wear my mask to work with it. That experience with the shitty modern absinth cocktail version (the original was good..WAS, being the operative word here) put me right off spirits. Getting the stuff down is traumatic.
Although..I am at least catching a buzz from that tia maria, after throwing down a couple of tizanidine (muscle relaxer, similar to clonidine) and clonidine, plus a few gabapentin.

Thnx..me and my dad painted it probably about ten years ago(at my parents house)...I shouldve done the ceiling green too but didnt...also I fucked the walls up in this room bad(things carved in the wall holes punched...only one still un patched though..lol....its a HUGE bedroom I shouldnt even be here now but had to move back with my parents trying to get a place back with my ol lady and kids(I have moved back in and out of here too many times lol)
Ran out of gin the other day. Had campari and tonic. Googled for what to mix the campari with and found a recipe for Campari Tonic. Not bad, I have to say. Alhough I thought the ratio suggested in the recipe was ridiculous, I think one part Campari two parts Tonic Water is decent.
Get yourself some sparkly white wine, load of ice and Campari really nice and refreshing drink (Vodka and grapefruit is another nice mix with it)
Vodka and coke.

I'm not a great fan of the flavored vodkas, have you tried it yet?

Nah I'm yet to try it actually, just got it on offer in the duty free at Eurostar the other day. Still working my way through some Johnnie Walker. I'll let you know.

I can understand that, but it's the nature of capitalism isn't it? I can name you a hundred products with a thousand reasons you should never touch them. BUT! On the basis it's local to a friend, I'll give you my word I'll never touch the stuff again. Plus I just had to look up Diageo's website and it virtually made me throw up. For a company formed in 1997 they sure make a lot of capital (pun intended) out of 'brands' (fuck that word) they own being famous from the 18th century (J&B and Guinness amongst them).
Oh it was black label. I'm a sucker for offers at duty free.
I'll take it the Arran whisky is in the post as a reward for my sound politics.

Yeah I love a bargain in Duty Free :D - we got a few bottles of Tequila on the way home as it's really expensive here(cheapo brand half bottle is more expensive than a ltr bottle of decent branded in duty free). I really wanted to buy a big bottle of Soju in the Korean supermarket as got quite a taste for it - its not that strong on its own but if your drinking that along with a few beers it can really creep up on you.
