I actually prefer it these days, I don't take sugar in coffee at all, the days of saccharin are over you need to grasp the future !

The Aldi fruity stuff is most recommended, Im sure it counts as all of your 5 a day

I used to take at least 3 sugars in my black coffee and drank 15-20 cups a day, some quack alternative doctor told me I should stop so I did, it didnt help the health problem I had but I dont take in all that refined sugar for no good reason. I'm fat enough as it is these days !

If Im out Ill drink coke, or tonic water, Im not fussy Ill drink the sugared stuff, but at home I prefer to abstain :D

That's right, Evey. My tolerance is currently low enough for DHC to do something, which is nice. :)

I've been taking DHC since my mother started slipping prescription Co-dydramols to me when I was a pretty young thing in the nineties. It was the first opioid I really fell in love with. It's nice to revisit it occasionally, or when nothing better's to hand. Today is the latter.

Had one for brekky this morning. Very rarely buy Paramol cos it's so expensive but fancied a change from codeine. Nice enough now and then but needs to be now and then at 4x the price of co-codamol. Not sure there's really enough difference to make it worth being a regular thing. Lack of histamine release is the only real difference I notice. Never did find DHC to be as much more potent as I've seen it quoted (although does seem to be quite a range of comparative potencies quoted).

Tonight I am drinking tap water. Got booze but don't fancy it - not good at booze two days running which is very much for the best I suspect.
 
I always try to use a small enough volume of water with Paramol to allow plugging at least half of the solution. I don't know if it's placebo, but it seems a lot more powerful than codeine that way. A BA issue, perhaps? I think I read somewhere that DHC's rectal BA is significantly higher than oral. Always did find it far more satisfying than codeine when taken orally though, but not quite as snuggly, which is probably a factor in some people not liking it. Mileage definitely seems to vary though, doesn't it?

You're right about the ridiculous price.

Never even thought to try it. According to wiki it's only got a (presumably oral) BA of 20%. That's a lotta scope for improvement given how much higher BA is rectally for opies often is. Does sound like you'd get a lot more bang for your (excessive) buck(s) that way. Second handy tip from you today. I'll have to start paying you at this rate. With the amount I could save on bloody Paramol if I could get 5x the kick out of it I could afford to too.

found a small btl of rum n ginger ale i had at a festival a while back, will do as a chaser.
 
Last of t'other night's voddy cut with sour raspberry liqueur (stop sniggering at the back - was cheap and am a sucker for weird, overly-sweet fruity drinks). Mickey Finn's not those Sourz thingies but not entirely sure that's a massive improvement. It's half the price and new thing on the shelves here which was the main consideration.

Currently on offer at Co-Op here and am rather partial to Port. Still seems pricey to buy essentially just to drink over a night but may do just cos I like it. Wish I had the ability to build up a proper drinks cabinet. Not sure it's even just borderline alcoholism that's the issue so much as only buying enough to last a night each time so never have spare. I actually drink less on the rare occasions I do have booze "in stock" oddly enough.
