Nope, but the Smirnoff bit does :)

Back on topic - Note its Lech Pils, not Lech premium(which is rank)

Erm, hang on with your Ninja mind tricks. So mentioning a brand is gay but mentioning a brand and going 'out of your way' (you really did though) to prove it wasn't another brand is straight?

Arrrrggghhh :D

But the difference is ALL Smirnoff is pants :)

Lech is a strange one, the pils is fine but the " Premium" by which the name should suggest is a superior product is actually far worse !!

^The lady doth protest too much, just saying :D.

In all honesty I would not buy a standard bottle of Smirnoff in a supermarket as 'Red Square' / even Tesco's own don't taste that far away when using a mixer. If I'm drinking it neat then I would say Absolute Blue from the freezer is the nicest and easiest to drink (IMO).

I just came through duty free last week so enjoying the Smirnoff black / Orange :D - I also stupidly bought a bottle of 'bennidictine' which reminds me of being sick after drinking Jager :(

I think that Benedictine/dom stuff is all cheap brandy based, hence the gutrot.

being sick after Jaeger is the norm though.
Black Puke FTW :)

I've never been sick on Jägermeister (that is what you're talking about, right?) so I've never had the pleasure of Black Puke. I feel like I've missed out :(

Currently sipping Fentiman's Ginger Beer. I also had a bottle of their Cherry Tree Cola earlier, was OK but a bit sweet. They seem to have added a few varieties to their range. I'm a big fan of their Cola, and I've just noticed it has caffeine in it, I'm pretty sure it didn't used to. So does the Cherry stuff. Good! I always felt a bit short-changed by the lack of caffeine.

The benedictine stuff is simply wrong -Its rank. I tried it neat over ice , tried mixing with cognac, tried mixing it with vodka - tried mixing it with brandy. 'Maybe' I should have tried one mix per night instead of one after the other ?

I love Benedictine neat over ice. It's certainly an acquired taste and not something I'd choose to drink more than a couple of times a year.

Also, Jägermeister <3

I'm not one for throwing out booze so next time I may buy some ice cream and try pouring it over that? I will probably just ending up chugging it / being sick and regretting it = rinse and repeat until bottle is finished (in true HR style).

Amstel -If I have this correctly then pointing out it's not Amstel light means it's certainly not gay. (mind you after a can of carbs I will be going to the gym tomorrow :D)

Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA. What I really wanted was some of the India Red Ales that I drank when I was in Oregon but this will have to do.

IPA is quite gay cos of its low ABV, but I drink it regularly in the Summer (Lighthouse IPA from Red Rock Brewery in Teignmouth, 20 litre box from the brewery for about 40quid)...so it's officially not gay.

Specially if it's called Torpedo Extra.

bogman, drinking homebrew will never be gay. :)

Is 7.2% ABV low now? Fucking hell I can't ever get it right 8(

Old-style IPAs tended to be high alcohol and high hop content because they were designed to weather the journey from Britain to India. Newer-style IPAs don't need to be so robust booze-content-wise but have retained the heavy hopping. 7.2% would put Knock's IPA at the mid range of older IPAs, and 3.6% would put Mailmonkey's firmly in a pink glass. With a stem. And he'd raise his little finger while taking small sips, and make pleasant conversation about croquet at about the same sound volume as that generated by Knock's chest hairs growing.
