What are you drinking? - "Someone is bringing you ice?"

the Westons 2 for £3 is no longer on in my co-op, and yes, the individual price has gone up to £1.99 here too.

It's a really successful offer, so what's the betting it goes on at 2 for £3.50 at some point? I'd probably still buy it.

I've got one of these in tonight, from B & M ... £4.29 for 2 lts which ain't bad. Not nearly as nice as the 8.2% tho.

knock, I've been meaning to tell you to go check out the B & M discount store in your area. I checked, and you've got one. It has some decent wines real cheap, always cheaper than the majors (most mainstream brands too, just not the full ranges) .. it has an ace selection of decent beers too ... westons cider in a few options (old rosie @ £1.29) .. and some seriously decent one off bottles of wine that are numbered ... bottles that would normally be £10+ in the majors. .

it does kopperberg and various other ciders too

I've never shopped with em online, and last I looked their range online is nothing like the range you get in store, but since I've been going to B & M I never buy my booze in supermarkets anymore because they're insanely expensive in comparison

[edit]
I just searched for one in Dundee Spade, and the nearest one to you seems to be 17 miles away.

same scenario as mine pretty much, but I'd check again. the offer went off and price hike 'appened this week in my co-op

I bought some on 2 for £3 last week.

It wasn't 2 for £3 here as we aren't allowed deals like that in Scotland any more it was just £1.50 a bottle regardless of how many you bought.

ahh, so that's how they were getting around that. I think i remember you mentioning that before, or someone here did

I'd much rather not be 'forced' to buy 2 in order for it to be cheaper, so I'd prefer the £1.50 option

no idea how they'll get around the £ per unit issue if it does eventually get introduced

I always buy 2 anyway so not bothered if it's a deal or not. Just want it to somehow be 2 bottles for £3.

hmmm, I'll check Marmz :( Bought a few at the weekend, Saturday, and the offer still on...but Sunday is the day they change the offers....oh god I hope they haven't taken away the offer again...

The 1.50 a bottle way that Spade has mentioned before is much better, as we said last time, it actually makes the stuff MORE affordable, rather than what they'd hoped to achieve with the abolishment of these offers.

I'm all afluster now, debating whether to go to the Co and check, or send me wife over...but I got 5 bottles in the fridge still so I'm sitting pretty for a while..

And just like B and M, Lidl do Old Rosie for £1.29 a bottle, wife gets all her wine from Lidl now....and whatever ciders are on a decent offer for me....

Interesting, I'll check them out! Right now! Thanks <3

Bah, they shut at 8pm. I could have known that if I'd actually read the opening hours on the webpage I had open to locate the store. Dummkopf!

Ah well, I now know they're there.

Had a nice selection of beers today, a few pint's of fosters, a bottle of Banana bread beer, some Waggle dance honey beer, some Ginger beer and some Grolsch.
Don't feel pissed in the slightest but the opiates might have something to do with that ;)

Everything apart from the Fosters was acceptable. That should never be drank.

The pub nearest my house reopened on Friday so I checked out what they have on offer, 3 pint's of Foster's for €10, This is Ireland after all and beer in general is fucking expensive! like €4.20 a pint of fucking Carlsberg! proper stitch up!!

I went into a pub in Edinburgh last week and a couple of different beers were £5.25 a pint, most expensive I've ever seen. Scandalous really.

Fookin hell! that is steep for an average pub! I guess they can cash in on the Fringe tourist's though.

I just snorted a big fat line with bout 20/30mg of oxy in it and it has kicked the beer right in! feeling abit wasted now lol =D

Never again. Rough, currently sipping cold flat lemonade. Debating if I should go make myself sick. I'm only putting it off in the long run. It's coming one way or another.

i must try Westons..........see if i get an instant boner too

it's good shit, but you'll have a terrible sinking feeling and go flaccid every time you enter the Co-Op and the offer's been taken off.

(even though its a good price at its "normal" price)
