Whiskey is going down my throat + a lil beer. MDMA will be consumed in about a hour.
 
Dunno what MM's is cos never seen owt as posh as that. Peppermint cordial is a Schweppes jobby but is in with the orange squash and stuff so dunno really. Have had it as a drink with water and is okay but wouldn't make a habit of it.

Means online shopping though, TLM. Not very good at that. Selections have been noted though so one of these days I'll get around to it. Tbh, this particular cheapo Scotch ain't too bad at all for the price. £6.99 for a half bottle. Is more than adequate with a mixer. Possibly not so great neat. Better than the brands on offer at a tenner for a half bottle anyway.

EDIT: Actually, I forgot - I think Black Bottle has fairly recently appeared but is behind the counter for some reason. Am sure I've seen it there. Ain't exactly cheap though. Well, near-on £20 which doesn't count as cheap to me really. Can get a decent Islay for ~£25 a bottle. Not that I ever do though so maybe when I'm feeling flush... in around a decade or so maybe then at this rate :D

Hunt it out, its like £11.99 a bottle here in London, cheap as crap but much better than so called overpriced shitty malts like "Knockando" and "Singleton/Dufftown"

Not a patch on any Islay of course but still a great dram
 
Nup. Never seen it, TLM. I honestly cannot get across to those used to civilisation how very, very "local" towns like this are. Speaking of Knockando - he's been here so can confirm this, I suspect. Few other EADDers know where I live and can back it up, I'm sure. Think of a desert. With a single vending machine on a faraway dune. That only sells RolaCola. At a fiver a pop. Is something like that :\

Seeing the prices people pay for booze (and food for that matter) on here makes me wanna cry sometimes. Not only cut off from the world but charged way over the odds for the priveliege. Fukkin pisstake. I'm sure such places have their charms... but am a city boy by nature so they wore off years ago :|
 
Most Single Malts are overpriced your just paying for the adverts or fancy boxes
TBH with the exception of Laphroaig Quarter Cask there isnt a single Malt that is worth putting alongside a blend

Bowmore is shit, you can get Black Bottle for half the price and it tastes way better than Bowmore 12 or Surf of their NAS.

If really short of ££ and dont want to pay for a single Malt, just buy Johnnie walker black, certainly the best taste you can get for sub £20 and damn better than any single malt that isnt called Caol Ila 12 ( which is double the price)
 
They sell a Johnny Walker here but is over £20. Presume it'd be the cheapest one. Laphroaig (standard version) is the Islay I splash out on when pennies allow. The others (single malts in general, I mean) available here are overpriced pish as far as I can tell. Never had Quarter Cask to compare but I do loves me Laphroaig so suspect it'd go down a treat <3

Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of Europe lies a small unregarded little island. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little town whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea. Its basically a very high end blend that tastes like a single malt
When push comes to shove JWB pisses all over most entry level single malts and its better than most sub 50 quid single malts as well.

If you can get the " double black" version thats even better, its fucking amazing
