I've just realised I don't have enough booze to see me through the night, and there's no chance of a dodgy off-sale round here. Why are bottles of wine so small? :(

Pear vodka does sound nice, might get myself a bottle.

Just stocked up on some strong beers, not getting caught out by oppressive licensing laws tonight... 2x Guinness Foreign Extra, 4x Old Tom and 4x Leffe Blonde.
 
I'm not fond of pears at all, but thought I'd give it a bash. T'is very smooth and quite yummy. I recommend giving it a go if you stumble across a bottle.

Finishing off a bottle of red one of my mums mates gave me yesterday. Telegraph Station Cabernet Merlot. Tasty drop, I must say.

Drank no booze yesterday, first time in months. Even went dow allotment with flask of tea, and bottle ribena.

Slept fine, but took hlf a clonaz, so complete cheat i fear.

Sounds alright that, not a fan of pear flavoured stuff myself but a friend brought some pear brandy back from Slovakia, think it was called hruska. They all had great fun getting me to pronounce it because apparently I'm the only English person they'd met that could roll their R's %) It was alright stuff like, strong as FUCK though.

Drinking a can of Foster's myself. Somehow a ten pack of it has survived from Monday til today. Shocking state of affairs in this house.

Was half-price and am celebrating semi-fixing me lappy fan. Is rather tasty actually. Never had port with lemon before. Only know it's a "thing" cos grannies used to order it with their Sunday lunch at the pub I used to work at.
 
Just nearly puked up most of a bottle of Doragon Sake. I like sake but if it's not going to hang around to enjoy the party it can get to fuck.

thats rank. The puking. I seem to remember sake being rank too.

Drank it once somewhere in norfolk, CastleAcre I think,years ago we went camping near there, and spent about 8 hours playing yahtzee drinking sake while tripping on purple dots, must have been nearly 20 years ago, the sake got worse and worse, and we all managed to make it become a fucking terrible ordeal..never touched it since. Didn't puke it up though.
 
Bulmer Pear Cider, barely tastes like alchohol at all hmmm but it was so near the door, five finger discount. It sort of tastes like concentrated weak apple juice....

Nearly gone now though. Went down a treat, mind. Perked me up nicely when it can often turn me maudlin as fuck.

Never had sake. Is not all that strong is it? Not pukey strong even after a bottle anyway. Does it really taste that bad?

Hopefully it was the well practised harm reduction and moderation that kept the maudlin at bay Shams. Remember to drink lots of water before bed!

Had sake in Japan, lots of different ones. All rank :| many pretty tasteless. Brought some back as gifts and no one liked it :\ Knockando's hardcore downing a whole bottle of the stuff 8o

Sake isn't that strong, 14%. And a "bottle" is only 500ml. All I'm saying is I got through most of it (having warmed it up in a pan, it's meant to be warm) and it was fine then my gut rejected it. But my mouth rules my gut and the sake stayed put...

I got my taste for it when Yo! Below opened in Edinburgh, some time back in the mid 90s, would sit munching through a bento box and a flask of warm sake and get pissed quickly and effectively. Quite a nice way to spend the evening. But I don't remember it trying to escape from my gullet. Anyhow, it's gubbed now and I'm pleasantly pissed. Next time I'll have it with a pot noodle rather than a roll and seabrook's crisps.
