Altered Perception

I'll l try and describe it, You know when you are sitting in a quiet room and you can hear a slight continuous high pitched humming tone , sounds like a neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee or sort of like tinnitus, well I am getting sudden shift, slipping and drop outs in that sound accompanied with a brain numbness similar to the effects of Novocaine in your mouth.
To try and describe the sudden sound sensation I refer to an aeroplane and the you hit an air pocket that makes the plane suddenly drop down in to weightlessness and then stabilizes and then repeat that over and over, thats exactly what is happening to the sound in my brain, its going from the stable neeeeeeeeeeeeeee to an airpocket "WOMP" (brain zap) and back to neeeeeeee then slips to a jolting 'WOMP" intermediately.
I am getting concerned because the only other time I've ever experienced anything like that is when I catch myself just as I'm drifting off to sleep and notice the sudden "WOMP' type auditory and sensory change. Anyone know if its a side effect of having opiate withdrawals or the start of a seizure?
