Drug Purity Report #30/26. Welcome to “last week on drugs”, a new post series by PRO Test dedicated to reporting on drug market purity. After creating the DrugsPRO app, we have realised that browsing all of the available data can be challenging. Therefore in this series of articles we will post updates, summaries and comments on the current state of drug quality, particularly in Europe. For more details, photos, and other information on thousands of drugs, head out straight to DrugsPRO.

In this week’s edition: the return of PMMA, more old-school Ecstasy and the question “what is going to replace Mephedrone?”.

  • PMMA is BACK!
    • The infamous PMMA, which killed multiple people in the early 2010s, is unfortunately back. Despite the abundance of MDMA on the market (the main risk being taking too high of a dose, accidentally), at least 4 different pills were detected already this year in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and Poland (the last two reported by Nectar Spectra Labs). The PMMA pills are:
      1. Trump (pink-grey)
      2. Mitsubishi (yellow/beige)
      3. Tesla (pink)
      4. Red Bull (multiple)
Most lab results are available in the DrugsPRO app, except for the Tesla and Mitsubishi test results which we received from Nectar Spectra Labs.

  • MDMA with Amphetamine
    • Do you know how many people suggest Ecstasy pils contain MDMA mixed with Amphetamine? Well, that is a myth… most of the time. The misconception comes from the fact how differently “Molly” can affect users, both due to personal predispositions, as well as the common unintuitive decrease of energy on high doses of MDMA. But, to every rule there is an exception. Last week the Swiss drug checking specialists detected 30mg of Amphetamine mixed with 155 mg of MDMA in a yellow Bitcoin pill. A hefty dose of both, significantly more than expected for a single person. Interestingly, bitcoin pills appear to have a significant variance in contents, unlike most other logos.

  • What is going to replace mephedrone?
    • Ever since Mephedrone (4-MMC) started to get banned, the chase to find a replacement begun. And yet, due to lax regulations in particularly the Netherlands, situation quickly stabilised, and 3-MMC became the drug of choice for many European party goers. Recently, however, 3-MMC was banned there too, and it seems like 2-MMC is not picking up as replacement. Currently dealers are trying to sell 2-MMC, 3-CMC, 4-BEC, 4-BMC, 4-CMC and NEP as Mephedrone. Situation remains dynamic, with most of those compounds sharing a similar piece of the market. Due to low sample size, currently more information on that trend is not available.

More details in the full blog post at https://protestkit.eu/drug-purity-report-week-30-2026/, and of course in the DrugsPRO app.

Thank you for reading and catch you next week!

Drug Purity Report #31/26

We are back with another summary of the “last week on drugs”, the PRO Test series dedicated to reporting on drug market purity. This week: more PMMA, cathinones and synthetic cannabinoids.

Data fatigue is real, so here is the gist of what is worth knowing. For more details, photos and information on thousands of substances, visit the DrugsPRO app.

PMMA is still around

The risk of finding PMMA in an ecstasy pill remains. After several samples confirmed earlier this year, a red-purple Red Bull pill containing 59 mg of PMMA was found in Vienna. PMMA is associated with severe poisonings and multiple deaths. The Red Bull tablet is shown in the report graphics below.

Synthetic cathinones

The search for a 4-MMC replacement continues across Europe. Samples submitted as mephedrone last week were found to contain 4-CMC and NEP. NEP is much more potent and has particularly high overdose potential. Interestingly, NEP was also found pressed into a pill resembling the red-purple PMMA Red Bull tablet.

Synthetic cannabinoids

One sample from Austria contained four different synthetic cannabinoids. Cannabis products are tested less often than powders, but reports of products containing synthetic cannabinoids continue to appear. Fully synthetic cannabinoids such as MDMB-INACA can pose serious health risks, while semi-synthetic compounds such as HHC-O remain unpredictable. Testing cannabis products before use is therefore strongly recommended.

Last week at a glance

  • 60 samples from 6 countries: Austria, France, Germany, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.
  • 52 samples had quantified results, including 25 pills and 1 LSD sample.
  • 16 samples contained more than one detected ingredient.

Key purity differences

  • Amphetamine median purity/content: 88%, compared with 38% in the yearly reference period.
  • Mephedrone median purity/content: 54%, compared with 88% in the yearly reference period.
  • MDMA median content: 160 mg, equal to the yearly reference median.

The report is based on drug-checking data published by checkit.wien, drogart.org, drogenarbeitz6.at, drugchecking.berlin, druglab.fr, Energy Control, SafeZone, Trimbos and WEDINOS.

Drug-checking results describe tested samples only and are not representative of the entire market.

Thank you for reading and see you next week!

Hmm what I meant is I thought it was against the rules to say "pills with this imprint have xyz in them" as anyone can copy a print and than what was published becomes untrue instantly?

Personally I have no objections to it but I kind of doubt the accuracy -- okay I see the disclaimer

"Drug-checking results describe tested samples only and are not representative of the entire market." -- I hope everyone else does as well

Let me quote /u/AluminumOrangutan from Reddit, the moderator explains it well:

I think it depends on whether the report indicates the pill is safe or dangerous.

If someone says, "I took a Redbull pill and it was legitimate MDMA - highly recommend" that's bad advice, because our Redbull pills could have come from a different producer and have different contents from theirs.

But if someone says "Be careful with Redbull pills", that's helpful, because it puts users with this pill on guard and encourages them to do what they should have been doing from the beginning: test their drugs.

Are you really trying to argue against warning about dangerous drugs? If so, please bring your concerns to the drug checking NGOs, not us.

You are copping an attitude where it was not needed so I will proceed as addressed..

Noone cares what some guy from reddit says; at all. The fact you mention reddit tells me all that I need to know

What I was asking was whether what you are doing is directly against the BLUA or not? As in my experience these threads get shitcanned.....Than noted I personally do not care, have at it; so your problem is not with me guy.

In fact I would like to know how much fentanyl the m30s on the east coast have in them as a rule? But that could tread towards dangerous advice as every batch could be different....(could be is generous)

Again, I do not care but I do see how what you are doing could lead to misinformation leading to harm.

Now that we understand eachother you will not hear from me again. (You should add that disclaimer to the first one as well btw -- it is IMPORTANT)

PS what the hell are the drug checking NGO's -- oh like dancesafe and ectasydata and that shit okay -- yea those were traditionally not encouraged here and notoriously misleading. If BL doesnt care I dont, I have never and will never report anyone guy.

EVERYONE PLEASE REMEMBER THIS Drug-checking results describe tested samples only and are not representative of the entire market.

have at it -- SOME info is better than NO info IMO honestly.

Warning people and fear mongering can be a thin line, data often is that thin line.....tread carefully

Drug Purity Report #32/26

Welcome to “last week on drugs”, a PRO Test series dedicated to reporting on drug market purity. This time — another week, another PMMA pill. On top of that, more novel semi-synthetic cannabinoids and other research chemicals.

Caution: warnings are not limited to compounds mentioned in this post. All our published laboratory results are warnings. No substance is 100% safe.

Data fatigue is real, so here we come to give you the gist of what is going on out there. For more details, photos and information on thousands of substances, visit the DrugsPRO app:

Donkey Kong pill containing PMMA, detected in Zurich, Switzerland.

DONKEY KONG PMMA PILL — ZURICH, SWITZERLAND

Whoever has been putting out pressies containing PMMA is not taking it easy. Another pill containing PMMA has been found, together with another sighting of one previously detected.

Considering the scale of the European drug market and the evident cross-border spread, it is reasonable to assume that at least several thousand PMMA pills are currently in circulation.

DELTA-8-THO — MARIBOR, SLOVENIA

The Slovenian drug-checking NGO DrogArt reported new semi-synthetic cannabinoids: THC butanenitrile oximes (THO).

Result:

https://protestkit.eu/drugspro/alerts?id=20260807SL9gG

More information from DrogArt:

https://www.drogart.org/rezultati-in-opozorila/delta-8-in-delta-9-tho-prodana-kot-t9hc-v-mariboru/

The results of the analysis conducted at the National Laboratory for Health, Environment and Food showed that a sample of cannabis purchased as cannabis with the semi-synthetic cannabinoid tetra-9-hydrocannabinol (T9HC) in a physical store in Maribor contained two other semi-synthetic cannabinoids: delta-9-THC butanenitrile oxime (delta-9-THO) and delta-8-THC butanenitrile oxime (delta-8-THO).

Not much information is available about delta-8-THO and delta-9-THO. Users of these semi-synthetic cannabinoids have previously reported intense effects, dissociation, blurred vision, nausea and loss of appetite. There is currently no additional information in the literature about the effects of delta-9-THO.

Synthetic and some semi-synthetic cannabinoids are extremely potent and unpredictable substances. They can cause rapid loss of consciousness, slowed or laboured breathing, epileptic seizures, convulsions, frequent vomiting, agitation, delirium, psychotic episodes, aggressive behaviour, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, confusion, fainting, irritability, hallucinations and paranoia — and, in the most severe cases, sudden death.

FAKE XANAX — BERN, SWITZERLAND

A fake Xanax sample resembling the classic alprazolam pill was checked by Swiss experts and found to contain flualprazolam and meclonazepam.

Result:

https://protestkit.eu/drugspro/alerts?id=20260805SWeKT

These compounds are so-called research chemicals, and their risk profiles remain unclear. However, flualprazolam is known to produce longer-lasting effects than alprazolam.

Combined with potentially unfamiliar effects, the overdose risk is high. In the case of benzodiazepines, overdose can mean memory loss, likely injury or another accident, and a significantly increased likelihood of acting on dangerous ideas.
