I love this show. We got rid of showtime, but I try to watch it OnDemand anyways and about 3rd time I try it f*cks up and lets me watch it. Haha, one time they cut me off in the middle of it but I've seen every episode except 9/17 so far. I would just pay for the damn thing but I have to watch it at my parents house and they don't want to get any cable add ons even if I pay for them. So I'm stuck doin' this.
If anyone knows of a good bit torrent or source where I can download weekly episodes that would be great, or a demonoid invite, or something. I would really owe you one.
As for the show, I love it, but a lot of the critics in this thread do have valid points.
The minorities are DRIPPING with stereotypes. I don't think stereotypes are inherently bad, infact I think that they can somewhat be used to make believable characters. But the way they handle some of them on Weeds borders on distasteful. I just think they could've put a little more thought into it.
A lot of the plot points seem like a stretch, and sometimes it seems like it's going all over the place. I think there could've been some work to be done here.
But, I really like the show, it's exciting keeps ya watching and of course it's an anthem simply because it's about selling weed in the suburbs. The lead is charming and gorgeous, Doug is probably the best character on the show he's fantastic, Celia is over the top you love to hate her, the young kids are clever, shane especially, and I can't wait to see Mary Kate.
The theme song perfectly matches the underlying attitude and message proposed by the show in general. I love it. The monotony of cookie cutter suburban life but loving it, and yet being one not so easily satisfied like the others. Choosing to go against the grain, even in the face of consequences.
