Before I state all my problems, I would like to say I started smoking weed at 15 and am now 18. I have always had positive thoughts of Marijuana even before taking my first hit, I was so excited.

Now for the past five months I have begun experiencing weird feeling, thoughts, and pain.

- My shoulders and sides of neck ache and feel weighed down.

- My left arm feels weak and weighed down.

- My feet and hands go into cold sweats

- I will get muscle spasms in arms, legs, and middle of chest.

- My chest will feel under pressure, sometimes a little ache.

- Feels hard to breathe, even though I can breathe fine.

- The way I look around is even more dizzier and makes me kind of sick.

- I burp a lot.

- The left side of on the top of my head hurts, feels like the left side of my brain aches

-Uncontrollable shakes and feeling cold

All of this occurs at the same time, it sometimes even makes me go into a total panic/panic attack and I get dry mouth, throw up and think I am dying.

I do not want to quit smoking, I want this to end.

If I smoke a bowl, just one. I will be kind of alright, but a few of the problems still occur.

This might be the first time this forum has seen something like this. I just really need an answer.

Try this on for size, then: take a break.

You said if you smoke one bowl, you're pretty much fine. Well, lower your tolerance to suit! If you can only smoke one bowl, have your tolerance at the point where one bowl gets you faded.

*shrug* I've never heard of someone having persistent physical ailments from weed, aside from respiratory issues, so I can't really offer any help, aside from suggesting a break, which usually solves most of the issues people associate with weed.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking maybe just a bowl every few days.

@Sega420, well obviously it is not normal. Especially the shooting pains through the arm while I am high.

Feels like a damn heart attack is about to occur. If I am the first to die from weed, well... watch the news from now on =P

Could this be a sign of early Lung or Neck/head cancer? I am not saying it is the chemicals in weed, but the smoke itself. I smoke everyday, seriously everyday. I never run out.

I have had EKG's and had my lungs checked there all fine. Could Ecstasy or the time I did Acid changed my body permanently.

Damn, makes me wish I only tried weed.

^No, I'm quite sure you don't have cancer. First of all, if you have had your lungs examined by a doctor, especially if you've had x-rays/other imaging done-- you can relax, because any cancerous growths would have shown up. You see, you smoke every day and subconsciously you know that's not a healthy thing to do-- so your brain is attributing odd sensations back to a known cause of discomfort (smoking). IMO using a vaporizer or eating your pot would help this.

Take a few days off from smoking. Do you still experience the pains? If so, head back to the doctor for another check (although odds are its nothing serious). If you don't experience them while you're off the pot, I'm sure it was probably just psychosomatic (weed being a potent psychoactive can really exaggerate psychosomatic feelings).

Hope everything works out for you. :)

You should smoke less indica strains. Try buying some middies or even shwag, look for something with a lighter high and smoke it in joints. Smoking cheap,low-quality weed throughout the day is quite fun. I do it for months on end :D

I have had some uncomfortable physical sensations stoned, including an odd sense that I could taste with my hands, or somehow 'know' the nature of objects through my body. I've also had uncontrollable twitching in the arms and legs, especially elbows and knees. This is because of weed's effect on the part of the brain which controls involuntary muscle movements. A sensation of cold or heat is also a side effect of marijuana.

It could be something serious but considering it only happens stoned . . . smoke less, smoke more sativa/worse pot, see how it goes :)

It's not from the bud bro, you need to get your ass to a doctor. If you really think it's from the bud, stop smoking for a day n get back to us about how you feel.

could just be panic induced from the weed. You could see if this is the culprit by taking a little of any benzo (xanax ativan valium kpin etc) and then smoking.

Or you could quit smoking bud. Sounds terrible.

calm down for a second,

reposition your left arm and strengthen it a bit more so it's not as weak, you probably weakened it, especially if you're right handed, remember you're a stoner.

Make sure the muscles around your shoulders where your arms go in are together and moving properly. Rotate your arms around and get the blood circulating more to your hands, hips for feet..

Remind yourself to breathe in your nose and out your mouth, like fish lips. Abdominally breathe.

Correct where you hold your neck so you don't seem dizzy all the time.

As for the burping. Tell yourself to burp, and push all the air out of your stomach, and swallow. The muscles in your neck have probably deteriorated from sitting around stoned all the time. Align your third eye with the space where your neck meets your rib cage and that above your sternum. Then move your neck. These should be vertical of eachother. Ripping bongs all the time doesn't help.

This is certainly not the first discussion on here about marijuana side effects. Some of the things you described are very common and have happened to me. (e.g. paranoia about breathing, shaking, dying)

You seemingly know that this is caused all by marijuana, so really all you can do is smoke less or deal with crazy anxiety. As someone who has been there and did not want to quit either, it is much easier to deal with smaller doses versus larger ones. A vaporizer also really did help me as I was no longer getting negative effects from the smoke inhalation. Lastly, focusing on good posture and exercise are important as well.

Good luck.

Not trying to be mean, but are you overweight?

Not necessarily overweight but fitness/blood pressure etc. as well. I used to have a BP of 140/110 and I was inside of a healthy weight range. Now my BP is down to 120/80 and I feel a shit ton better on any drug, whereas previously I had no idea that my blood pressure was so high and the cause of a lot of my problems.

Dude you're having typical paranoia issues.

To solve it remember that it's all in your head, it's all mind over matter.

Next time you smoke, make sure you're in a comfortable environment and that there's some nice mellow music playing in the background to relax you.
Smoke just a little bit at the time and see how you do.
Take deep breathes and meditate if need be, but really it's all in your head.
I had these problems the first few times I started smoking then my doctor told me all this and the issue went away.

^It is definitely believable to me. Weed induced anxiety can be a really horrendous thing. Burping, however, I would think results from extra air taken in when smoking escaping back out.

^ and after 3 years of smoking the OP just has this anxiety? I'm just making a guess here, but i dont think op is very active and well it finally caught up to him.
