Never seen a WWII documentary bro?
I'm a bit of a nerd for it.
Nobody believed how bad it was until the allies actually arrived and liberated the camps. It was a big shock.
Can we make one little nuance clear here:
neither did the Germans know what was going on, about 90%+ had no idea whatsoever
what was happening in the camps. They thought they were work prisons.
The camps were kept under secrecy, and fake camps like Theresienstadt were used to lull people into believing they were pretty fancy work camps
It wasn't until the KZ in Thüringen was discovered that the whole thing came to light,
to both Allies and German civilian population. Many thought this to be some "Ally lie",
some still think that.
But being a big fan of the US I just want to leave here that you guys absolved our high ranked Nazi scientists of their crimes, destroyed evidence of their past, and let them live in the US like normal people to get an edge over Russia.
that's just the US engraved Western society we live in.
US can do what it wants, but nobody else is allowed to.
People started hating Russia on the click of a button.
Why? Because media told us they are the bad guys.
It's a similar tactic as the one the Nazis used here in Germany.
As long as the people know who the "enemy" is, they are content.
So you just tell them who their enemy is, and make a compelling case
only very few are prone to check if there is more truth behind it,
most will just bark when the media tells them to bark.
