Ok guys… time for uplifting news:
I think I got it now and almost through.
Summing Up:
Long term and frequent Ketamin usage will cause an autoimmune reaction of the cells in the bladderwall/GAG layer. The cells will start sacrificing themselves to inhibit spreading the toxic reactions caused by Ketamin. For a while, human will not take notice until the GAG layer is way too damaged and reaches a tipping point where too less vital cells are available to recover the GAG layer on its own any longer. The GAG layer protects the bladder wall from toxins your urin contains by nature. When the GAG Layer is gone… the toxins will reach the bladder wall directly, which leads to chronic irritation and inflammation processes. That leads to pain + causes your bladder, urethra muscles to contract persistently. That leads to cramps in the pelvic area and lower abdomen which results in more pain.
According to all my research (posted the most relevant scientific studies a couple of pages earlier), the last hope for me is/was the „bladder instillation therapy“ - which showed the only significant results across all studies.
Over the past 9 really challenging months, I tried to convince my doctor(s) to prescribe me this medication, but they refused to because they said „im healthy and in the best shape“.
After they diagnosed „ketamin associated cystitis„ when they performed the bladder biopsy in the hospital, they sent me back home to my urologist (after 3 days with a giant catheter and impressive pain due to the surgery - definitely NOT recommended).
It still didn’t cure on its own.. so I visited my urologist again and insisted on getting the instillation therapy prescribed. He told me that healthcare providers in Germany dont cover this therapy and he is unable to write me a prescription. But I could go ahead and buy it on my own.
And thats what I did.
Usually that medicine has to be applied with a catheter directly into the bladder. But I‘d rather not having a catheter again… Good thing: there is an „adapter“ available, so you can plug it onto your dick and squeeze the fluid through the penis up into the bladder and dont need a catheter at all. Doing that your urethra benefits as well from the medication.
The first dose was almost completely wasted because I was so nervous and scared about pain… I was sitting in a chair and did not hold my dick accordingly, so the majority of the dose was spilled all over.
The second dose was no problem at all. Managed to get the full dose into the bladder and believe me, it is a nice feeling. Ok… I would prefer not to do this… but the feeling is really pleasant.
You need to lay down into your bed or ground, put a big pillow under your lower legs. Use a lot of desinfection spray to make your hands, dick and everything sterile. Put on the adapter onto the syringe. Hold your dick with one hand right below the glance to “stabalize„ the urethra and to maintain the necessary pressure of the adapter/syringe to your glance (it has to be quite rough so no juice is spilling over - but trust me… no pain doing this). Now, breath deeply and relax and start SLOWLY pushing the juice in.
You should then hold it in your bladder for a at least 30 minutes… i am able to keep it for 3 hours.
While it was in my bladder.. it felt great, reliefing first, but then a little strange and a bit irritating. That feeling will last for half a day. I can really feel my bladder „working“ that day - all evening light contractions of the bladder, uncontrollable but no pain.
I got two doses in now and it is so good, that I wanted to share this with you. Dont get me wrong… its not a “wonder-pill“ and I am still suffering a little bit. But I can practice almost a normal life again. It really improved the symptoms already and I will keep on pushing this into my bladder once a week over the next four weeks.
There are two meds available:
Ialuril prefill
Genpan Instill
Google it and purchase it from an online pharmacy for maximum privacy.
The GAG layer mainly contains hyaloric acid and chondroitin sulfate. Thats why I decided to go with Ialuril in the first place, because that’s coming with both, while Genpan contains chondroitin sulfate only (but twice of the amount compared to ialuril). I bought 4x Ialuril and will get 2x Genpan as well. Its not cheap…I dont care!!! If I can spend 800 bucks fur a stupid Ipad that doesn’t actually improve my well-being, I‘d rather go all in on my health now.
If you are outside Germany/EU you can try to get your hands on Pentosan Poly Sulfate (PPS), sold as Elmiron. My urologist told me that he prescribed that regularly in the past to cure interstitial cystitis. But its not legally available in GER anymore because they rejected the license cause of some unique side effect, damaging your eyes.
In addition I take daily curcumin at high dose. Curcumin can have various therapeutic effects, especially anti-inflammatory. Acurmin+
Recommended dosage: 2 pills/day
I take 9. Doing it for 4 weeks now.
Tried all kinds of supplements for bladder health. Everything.
My recommendation: Stop doing K! Go with Acurmin and Vitamin C (5g/day) + go ahead and buy Ialuril RIGHT AWAY (if you are really sure about your ketamin bladder).
Doxepin low dose to be able to deal better with the pain.
Dont drink any alcohol at all. For a long time.. just 1 beer gave me a full week of uti symptoms.
Doing exercises every day, long walks, heavy lifting workouts. Still have to be careful with running or jumping.
I smoke weed, regularly (2g a week).
You can do it at home!
You don’t need a doctor!
PM me if you would like to talk privately or if anyone needs any further instructions, feedback or support. This board helped me through the darkest episodes of my life. Im still here, fighting, but already fell like I will come back stronger than ever before!
DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor or any healthcare specialist. Everything I mentioned above is based on my own individual research and self experiments over the past 10 month - but believe me, I studied this shit every day. I don’t give any guarantees.
But when the damn Dr.s do not help, I have to take responsibility on my own. And I am sure, when you found yourself reaching this board, you have the power as well.
Studies:
Ketamine was first synthesized as a clinical medicine for anesthesia in 1970. It has been used as a recreational drug because of its low cost and hallucination effect in the past decade. Part of ketamine abusers may experience ketamine-related cystitis (KC) and suffer from lower urinary tract...
