The only ones I see doing this are former AA members who talk about Jesus alot. It is a highly stressful time. These guys, it is mostly guys right?, can be going through a divorce, facing unemployment, feeling basically like a piece of shit and are fighting with addiction to save their lives or for a loved one. It just gets too much for them.never heard anyone singing the drug conviction record I got saved my life.
When they've got nothing left to lose, you can feel the wild look as he asks if you believe the power of Jesus.
Ya. Fear God brother.
I am not going to get all preachy about my own beliefs. God represents something significant in their lives, I can understand that. He is forgiven.
I would imagine going through rehab in jail is the same sort. Done people get out, get a job, get happy, and sing a praise about the system.
I wish more people got the perspective of criminals. Many simply need help and will continue to abuse themselves and hurt others until they get some.
The level of help one receives depends on the system you are in. Various prisons are designed differently and have different programs to help inmates. Psych doctors are an integral part of prison and improving education is a proven, but not guaranteed, way of lowering recidivism.
