Vodka is a touchy subject.
Everything important has already been said, except a few brand recommendations.
-Chopin Vodka & Belevedere in my opinion are superiour to Grey Goose. By no means am i 'dissing' the Goose, just know that there are even smoother vodkas.
But the point of this thread is how to mask the taste and not get a hangover. don't waste your money on premium vodkas if you're going to mix it.
Get something mid-level...finlandia or finlandia cranberry, then take a red bull and mix it up. red bull kills the taste of vodka, especially in the ratio of 3/4 can of red bull to a generous shot of vodka. Drink two or three of the aforementioned concoctions and you'll be set.
not big on energy drinks?
mix with cranberry juice. especially finlandia cranberry w/ the juice. the flavor infusion will make the vodka seem almost nonexistent. though your brain will certainly disagree.
Another nice way to take vodka and manage to keep you awake.
1 shot of Stolichnaya Kafya (coffee infused)
1 Shot of Kahlua
Fill the rest of the glass with a few ounces of chilled espresso or coffee. Top with some fresh cream.
This martini of sorts wakes you up, tastes good, and will get you slammed in no time at all.
