does vitamin supplements like vit c, b-complex, multi vitamins, ect... increase the effects of benzos like valium, increase the clearance of benzos thereby decreasing the effects, or do they not interact at all??

ok thanks!!

really? b-complex really really helps with my anxiety and depression. they work really well for me....never noticed any edgyness, rather the opposite, maybe a slight relaxation

I doubt they have any effect on benzos. However, having a poor vitamin intake might effect ones mental state and physical state. Being in poor health and doing drugs will probably diminish effects.

One thing to look out for is the inhibition of glutamic acid decarboxylase in vitamin B6 deficiency. A regulation in this vitamin should in theory promote appropriate GABA synthesis.

I don't think any of them would have much of an effect on kinetics of benzodiazepines as neither of them are substrates, inducers, or inhibitors of enzyme CYP.

Umm nope. You are wrong chrom. Thanks for trying to help. You were close, but no cigar.... ;)

lolol jk..

i appreciate the post! i didnt know that b6 induces glutamate conversion into GABA! good to know :)
