Some of these middle eastern people have grown up in war torn countrys/places.. If you choose to fight them, prepare for the worst. They use guns/knifes/bombs all kinds of things.

The average Aussie male is a all talk, specially when in a large group... Australians arnt really bought up around much violence and our country is very placid... so we dont really take extreme measures when fighting for our beliefs.. but these people do.

Something to think about?

I dont agree with any of this violence however its just something to bear in mind.
 
Clearly there are some radicacl elements in our society which are trying to hijack what happened on the weekend (if they already didn't have a hand in it) and are pushing their own agenda. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these sms messages / email originated from groups which have nothing to with lebanese community or cronulla. All they're trying to do is stir shit. And threatening the bra boys and comancheros. rofl. That's a smart thing to do.

you know, i agree with that. however i'm wondering if one other country in particular didn't play their part in initiating this. or at least gave the aussie government a "better" idea of how to go about stirring up shit inorder to make the event seem more natural as opposed to contrived, thus of course in turn all serving one particular purpose of making howards proposed anti-terrorism laws suddenly appear more appealing to the australian public.

well, while you side with "the lebs" as you put it so nicely, when the churches are burning down, the children singing christmas carols are being shot at, girls are being threatened with rape for dressing in board shorts, 12 year olds are being spat on, their parents are abused and chased out of the swimming pool areas because ethnic women want to swim in privacy and lifeguards are being bashed, you'll be a hero because you're politically correct.
 
Yeah, well that shit doesn't tend to happen in melbourne, maybe because we aren't such a racist community and have learnt to coexist with our ethnic communities... Minus the arson attack and the shooting i'm sure anybody who has immigrated to Australia from anything other than an anglo-saxon background has suffered the same indignities. But i suppose there's no-one on 2UE to whip people into a frenzy over that so you would never know.

Man jailed over Sydney unrest

A NSW court has jailed the first person in relation to unrest in Sydney following the race riot at Cronulla beach, Premier Morris Iemma said today.

The man was arrested in Penrith, in Sydney's west, about 2am (AEDT) on Monday, armed with a tree branch, police said.

A Sydney court yesterday sentenced him to four months in jail for possessing an offensive implement in a public place.

NSW Premier Morris Iemma today said police were satisfied with the prison term.

"Advice from police is they are very satisfied with the sentence that's been handed down (for) a summary offence," Mr Iemma told reporters.

"Swift justice brought before the courts and four months' jail for, on my advice (what) was a tree branch, nevertheless an implement."

NSW Deputy Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said the sentence sent a strong message to the community.

"The message that must be going out to people now is that if you go to this type of event and you enjoy a boozy Sunday afternoon and you ... go somewhere else and the police catch you, you may well pay with the loss of four months of liberty," Mr Scipione told reporters.

"Now if that's not a strong message I don't know what is."

I have lived in many countries in my short life and believe it or not, but the Lebanese are all the same, I have experienced many disappointments with this culture especially towards girls. There was a joke going around Mozambique. What do Lebs and a box of matches have in common? They both come in packs of 20.

Where I live in Perth many of the big gangs are all Lebs, I hate gangs with passion, and i yearn for the day that they get the shit bashed out of them. Only because all there little cousins and brothers look up to there olders.

I can understand what happened that day, and I don’t belive it is a racist attack, its just unfortunately Lebs are dickheads and ask for trouble, the same thing would happen to any other groups.

Im not racist – I just own a colour television.

Gang violence is a small price to pay for kebabs and fellafels... Think about it, if it weren't for multiculturalism we'd all be eating boiled lamb and potatoes.

Inventing random correlations between multicultural cuisine and event of this significance doth not equate to that.
