I remember that game, I seem to remember spending ages on a combination lock at the end of the game.

Goldeneye IMO is the ultimate classic along followed by Sonic on the mastersystem and Streets of Rage on the megadrive.

Anyone remember Beneath a Steel Sky?

Yeah, I've finished it within the last year. It has become freeware :) Go get it here .

I'm not going to mention my childhood favorites (which I am actually still playing), most of them have been mentioned already :) I don't think I saw Blade Runner anywhere. Or Command And Conquer. And how can you forget Dungeon Keeper?

Damn, I need to play all those fantastic games again now. Bye bye social life =D

Ha! I entirely forgot about a war game that my dad wrote for the Commodore 64! I forget what it was called, but it was the first computer game I ever played. It was super fun!

OMG! I can't believe no one has mentioned Street Rod 2 - one of the best car games ever released!

me: man weve been at this for 17 hours without food or drink

roomie: but dude im gonna get <insert tech of choice here> in just 4 more turns!

btw nice avatar!

My favourites are:

Commander Keen series
Duke Nukem 1 + 2
Jill of the Jungle (recently found out the missus used to love it, i was surprised)
Hugo's House of Horror series (they were class)
Teenagent

All sorts of shit really. Hard to remember now but they were my favourites. There was also this adventure game with a cute green alien called Cosmo with suckers on his hands, and another one similar but with zombies an' shit.

Also, I used to love this game for the Amiga called Elf. A bit off topic, but I guess this is the place to ask if anyone's heard of it, cos I fucking worshipped that game like nothing else.

Edit: The street rod game up there reminded me of a car manufacturing game called Detroit. You owned a car plant, designed and tested cars, right from the 1900's, to the 2000's. It was ace.
