The helicopters available online handle differently to the gold-plated Hind (Mi28 Havoc) that you control in the campaign story. The multiplayer choppers movements are dependant on the angle of attack, making targeting difficult as you're always in a swooping or lateral dive. The singleplayer chopper can be tilted down without forward movement, making targeting easier on a sixpence.

The Russian multiplayer chopper (KA52) is the easier to handle and more effective killer, compared to the Apache-style chopper (AH64).

I've not got to the helicopter in the campaign yet.

The secondary gun on the Apache - the primary gun on the KA52 - is the most effective anti-personal weapon. But the Apache is a much more effective killer. Especially in my hands.

And that is because I get someone in my squad to man the Apache's secondary weapon while I fly the Apache at what seems to me 2mph in a slow hover at maximum height above the map. Tanks cannot effectively target me because I'll see it coming and if my squaddy had a clue about playing, he'll take out the flak cannon with quick haste before its manned.

To further prove the Apache is the best weapon on the game - in my hands - I can easily lower the helo and hold it there to change any light bulb in any lamppost. I use this on Harvest Day to destroy the gold crates with the rockets in a devastating time while the secondary gunner takes out any Demolition men

The Russian choppers main gun (multiplayer) kicks ass... but the "gunner's" is crap, I've found. Mainly because it doesn't shoot straight. The apaches gunner gun is kick ass for killing anything on the ground.. crates.. etc. Hovering works.. but makes you an easy target..

You'll have to show me your skillz.

Not sure which map, but there's one where you can climb to the top of a skyscraper crane. The views are wicked, but its also the perfect sniper spot (so long as you out snipe the other snipers)

Not perfect because its one of those places where noobs hide and can't be seen, but because of the distance you can see and its fun having to guess the judgement of enemies when in the middle of a fire fight

Have you got me added on xbox live? - Edde9

Sharpen up your gunner skills and I'll fly you round like a chiwawa in Paris Hilton's hand bag

Lets get some people together for a game then. Just completed the game on 'hard'.. but to get all the achievements I need to do it again on 'normal' wtf!? Normally when you do it on the hardest difficulty straight off the bat it counts as the easier modes too

really didn't like the game, I didn't like just about everything primarily the graphics though... they were far to bright for me to even get into it. Not a fan of how the guns looked, or the whole stab yourself with a needle to heal.

touched the demo last night for 5 mins. seems quite nice but i wasn't in the mood for it.

Quality of graphics and 1 animation showing the healing process shouldnt be enough to turn someone away from a game if the gameplay is solid and addictive..... I mean maybe you didn't feel the game offered any of this but all you commented on was dealing with graphics..... Too many people rely VERY heavily on graphics to make a game or even get them interested in it.

Who wants to add the poll?

I love multiplayer on this so much, its basically CoD4 multiplayer with tanks, buggies, jeeps and helicopters added.

Single player will never compare to CoD single player though, but I doubt anything will for a while.

Bad thing about the game, can only currently talk to squad members, not whole team so its hard finding enough people with a mic to play tactically and not lone wolf

Anyone else having problems with inviting friends into your squad, where they join but then it gives them an error saying there are no games?

I'm top 100 :)

But my relationship with the game is love/hate.. I really hate the lag issues, EA's servers are kinda bunk sometimes.

Also, there's something happening which has been called "Dog Tag Lag", where if you knife someone, and if you already have a certain amount of Dog Tags from knifing- say 250-300, your game will lose what feels like 80% of the frame-rate or more- I'd say more, really, but I'm not certain. It's not normal network lag, and usually only happens when you knife someone... but knifing is a big part of the game sometimes... it can be a life-saver, and a way to earn more points.

In order to stop this, and "fix" it, you have to exit the game, and restart.

..So it's kind of broke as of right now.

There was a temporary "fix" to this problem, but since the conquest-mode release, the "DT-Lag" is back.

A couple things people might not like about this game:

1. You're shooting regular soldiers, but they have the strength of the Master Chief... which is counter-intuitive. You gotta pump quite a couple rounds into someone to take them down (AR, sub, LMG). Guys don't go down right away like on COD4.

2. Bullet Lag. Bullets seem to take too long to reach their target. They seem to travel at the speed of paintballs.. but it's almost as if it's a lot of part dependent on the connection to the server. Which brings me to number 3..

3. EA's servers are bunk. Sometimes you will feel like you unloaded a full clip into a guy, and they won't die.

4. If you shoot someone, you call out "enemy soldier!" and the enemy you just shot will have a red dot appear over their head, which can be seen through walls, and on radar. This red dot does not go away for some time, and everyone on you're team knows where that person is for that time, which makes staying alive very difficult, for the enemy (or you, if you're the one being called out).

The red-dots feel like a crutch... They are.

I'm sure there's others... many people complain about this game. I'm included, but I have good and bad times with it.
