So, what do you think of it?

Now that online play is much better, you can actually snipe someone without aiming 10 metres in front of them.

I didn't think this game really bought much new, but once you level up and unlock stuff like a guided missile from the sky and such..

I've already got 8 dog tags (knifed 8 people)


I will buy the game for this, will you?


P.S. This is available for free download on Xbox live. Don't think this game is coming out for the PC

I've gotten all three possible unlocks, rank 4... My unlocks are M-16, the semi-auto sniper-whatever it is, and mortar strike. After picking up some others' supplies, I really want to own the game so I can unlock them all. The guided airstrike is awesome... I survived so long after I picked that up.

There's also a certain heavy gun (support) with a green scope with a red-dot.. very accurate/stable.. good range (probably under M16, though- the effective range. I don't know yet-though... I really thought the thing was an assault rifle, at first).

I will buy the game, definitely.. and the sound makes me want to get some surround stuff. Hopefully my new job will allow such luxury. I love the sound of the M16.. Robocoppin' it with that thing.

I've got the semi-auto sniper and guided airstrike too. I leveled up earlier to level 3 (specialist) and it didn't give me another credit to spend

They do need to fix the damage of rockets though, a demolition guy's rocket launcher often takes 5 rockets to kill a tank.
And the blast radius of tank missiles needs to be scaled, at the moment if you stand just half a foot outside the hitbox you don't get any damage, but one foot closer and you're dead.

Desert Combat mod for BF:1942 > all BF games.

But this has potential to beat that, depends how planes are in the actual game. But its defo better than BF 2

i finally downloaded it and i have to say, this game is so much fun. how did you guys get the unlocks by playing multiplayer?

make sure you play ranked... i think the last possible rank (in demo) is hit at around 4500 pts. i might be mistaken, though.

a good thing to do is get some friends and go to custom/ranked.. then invite your friends into a squad pre-game.. that way you're not jumping around to different ones the whole time.

No reviving.. Bit unrealistic

Supper - Heavy machine gun can heal people and repair transport. Also can call in mortar strike. Maybe they're a bit imba

When me and my mate play, he's always support and I snipe, and two of us get in helicopter and dominate the whole map. Land for repairs when needed and as he repairs I do airstrikes etc

past couple days have been lagging again- still not as bad as in the beginning. it's server issues, not game issues- if anyone is wondering.

hmm.. interesting. because on the battlefield website, it says specifically that the lag is because of the servers, and they're trying to figure out what's wrong. there are times when it doesn't lag for me.. but other times..

cool man...alright i got 2 unlocks so far. the guided missle from the sky and the semi auto sniper...what to pick for the 3rd unlock...decisions decisions.

have either of you guys tried unlocking any of the weapons for the demolitions?

You only want the two you've got and the mortar strike for the support guy (looks like a phone)

Its annoying that there's 4 ranks but only 3 unlocks..

Demolitions is only good when you first start for easy tank kills.. but now I just swap between recon and support

i have mortar, and i'm not so sure about it. i wish i had got the airstrike- oh well, i'll wait for the release.
the mortar just comes down in a cluster, similar to artillery. you hold it to a target area/vehicle/person or lead them-estimating where they will be, and wait for it to charge.. then fairly quickly after it will rain. it's good for tearing up buildings, too.

i really like the M16.. accurate, good range, and powerful.

who's getting the gold edition?
