Yeh I think the red dots should just show to your squad mates, as you would realistically tell them where they are.

Its funny when you've got the .50cal and you see a red dot on the other side of the map through a load of trees and just let a shell ring out across the map for a head shot

Lag and dog tag bug should be sorted soon.

The LMG does have silly damage.. 30 bullets to kill someone lol
And I think headshots don't register very well either.

But I have no problem with the subs at close range

yea.. hated it at first... but now I just don't run around like an idiot as much and I seem to do ok. Went 20/0 about a half hour ago, on Harvest Day, and decided to take a break. I like End of the Line the best for Conquest, so far.

I always go straight to the island base (End of the Line) and camp out. Odds are the opposite team will be getting there shortly via boat... It's best to arrive first, and you will be able to see a new boat along the shoreline (theirs) as soon as they hop out.. giving you ample time to react. Sometimes I'll take the base right away.. sometimes I'll let them think nobody is around (some people aren't bright enough to notice an extra boat on the minimap), and while they're taking it, I'll mortar strike the flag... killing whoever's trying to get a piece of it. :)

The island is probably one of the easiest bases to defend, and get plenty of kills, because of it's central location.

Don't have a gunner (Helicopter)? Nobody seems interested in being your gunner? Fly as high as you can go, find targets, and switch to the gunner seat. You will descend slowly, then rapidly, as you don't have a pilot now... But this is very easy to master, I think. You can take out quite a few enemies, maybe even a tank (but not all on one swipe, most likely).. Make sure to switch back to the pilot-seat in enough time, and immediately hold the ascend button (up on left analog, is what I usually use). You will regain control of the chopper within about 10 feet from the ground. Limit your time in the gunner seat to mere seconds.. just enough to get kills... then fly out, and repeat.

I prefer conquest.. good old Battlefield, how it should be played

But I think only 1/2 a ticket should go when killing someone as the games are too quick and this stops it from becoming a deathmatch mode

Guns need to be more than CoD4. You can't deny that some are useless.

And the fact that it takes 30 odd bullets from a light machine gun to kill someone..!?
Yeah, well support would be ridicously overpowered if it didn't. Class games have to be a bout balance. Try the M60 if you want to kill them faster, takes a little more careful aiming and short bursts don't hurt either.

Anyway I love this game, yet hate it for for the ridiculous amount of fuck up's. Can't even get the squad system to work with anyone but my housemate, so I'm usually stuck with a bunch of retards on my team. Lag can be a bitch sometimes esp. when knifing and no team speak? Wtf? Heard they weren't even going to realease another game mode until people complained.\
The stupidity in this game never ceases to amaze me, support who won't heal (you will get stabbed for your gear), recon who don't use sensors, demolitions who won't destroy tanks and people refusing to defuse crates, team mates tend to piss me off in this game.
Maybe I only like it so much because it's the first clas based FPS I've ever played, think I'll be much happier when killzone 2 comes out though.
Btw I do love the call out system, I always hated it in FPS's how you would show up on the radar when you fired. 1 shot and that was it, the enemy knew where you were, made it hard to survive deep in enemy territory. Also used to hate it when you'd nearly killed someone and they would just hide around a corner waiting with a shotgun. This put's the advantage of surprise back on to the guy who had it first making this more a game of tatical thought rather than a reaction test like fucking COD4 (yes someone didn't like COD4).

That's why I don't play CoD any more, it is just another reaction test

We all know EA's reputation.. lets hope the massive fan base's complaints are heard, which I'm sure they will be

Is it still laggy?

Yeah I know they're changing a few things, like introducing team speak for instance, it's just a matter of if I'm still playing the game when they get around to it.
And yes I still get lag sometimes, probably more to do with my country's shit internet. Like I said though it can be a bitch when knifing. You find a small group of people looking the other way, go to knife them all, nothing happens, they sse you, your dead. btw I'm playing on the PS3 so I never got lag like the 360 owners did.

^now now.. if you go to the official battlefield forums you'll find many unhappy ps3 owners :\

Woa, wasn't trying to insult Xbox owners, just thought he might of thought I was on an Xbox when he asked, "is it STILL laggy?"

Lag is fixed :D:D for me anyway

Hopefully they've got the squad thing fixed so I can play with my mates again

PS. what's the max in a squad 3, 4, or more?

i added the half-smile, as a kind of "unfortunately" thing.. .. wasn't tryin to be touchy.. or a fanboy defending my console (it bricked on me once, already, nothing to defend really)

the ea forums are plagued with complaints from everyone about the game. honestly though it does feel better than it has. i've basically conditioned myself not to knife- so that fixes a big problem. I actually have heard less complaints from PS3 owners about lag, though.. the biggest deal with them is not being able to speak.

4 max per squad.

Sorry, read it wrong, damn lack of tone on the internet. I'd try and stop myself from kifing to, however I use support a lot and the only way to survive close range battles is to knife esp. when using the mg36. Usually if I'm running through buildings Ill just have the knife equipped the whole time.
As much as I'd like to blame EA for all the games problems, the voice chat problem was actually caused by the firmware update 2.40 and is happening on all games but only to some playstations.

I wish the knifing was more like CoD4.. a bit quicker and with a better button (too used to it now to change :p)

I kinda like the idea that you have to have it out already if you want to knife someone quickly. I always hated it on FPS's when you would be having a close range fight with someone and they could suddenly hit a button and you would be instantly dead.

I played COD4 one night, when Battlefield had me disgusted (right after conquest-horrendous lag), and I really didn't enjoy it. I did, but didn't.. It was just too small, and the knifing in COD4 is kinda cheap. It homes in on a guy if they're within a certain radius- guaranteed kill. Maybe I just played it out.

yea, support guys are at a disadvantage in certain respects in this game. I've found that with the M60, as long as I crouch, and don't waste time using the iron sights when in close quarters, AND don't hold down on the trigger- but tap it as fast as I can, I can take guys down with ease.

MG36 is nice for range, but up close, the weak damage really gets you into trouble.

Just got the "get half of the awards" achievement

Bloody hard getting the 6 kills with nade launcher, it does fuck all damage
