I go on and off opiates so often...I would say weekly. I have a monthly script for hydrocodone 10/500, 30 of them last filled on 2/22. I went to see my GP yesterday and she writes a paper script dated to fill on 4/3 (One month after I had Xanax filled, not hydrocodone) which is not correct, but I looked again at the paper script and she increased the amount prescribed to 60 instead of 30 8o. I was a little messed over about the date and I have a great pharmacy staff, so I was going to fill it when it was due 3/22 and I don't think there would be a problem but now I will wait. I think that my GP increased the amount prescribed without realizing it and I'm not trying to rock any boats. What would you guys do?

Yep. I should have checked them while at the office. Seriously the 30 are usually gone in a week so getting 2x that is pretty exciting. I never run out of Xanax before the date and if I do, no biggie. I never got why people say quitting benzos was super hard. I will disagree and will chime in that my opiate tolarance gets higher after one or two days and then it is just maintaining and tapering down. Same with benzos but if i cut my dose in half over 3-4 days they work way better.

Quitting benzos can just be dangerous...psychological wise I don't have an issue...I get a script for up to 3 0.5mg tabs at night and depending on my pain/anxiety level I might only take 0.5mg or up to 2mg...benzos are never a bad thing to have around but like any other drug they can be dangerous, withdrawal can cause seizures, psychosis, panic attacks, etc. and believe me you DO NOT want those symptoms! Opioid withdrawal just sucks and aches but benzo withdrawal is pure hell...luckily my tolerance stays pretty damn low with both opioids and benzos and I try and take the least high dosage as possible.

Tell them asap I have a script fraud charge on my record shit could get hairy in the worst case scenario. I have been given higher dosages of narcotics at pharmacies and went right back and told them. And there wasn't anyone who could say no I didn't write x amount I wrote y amount. If your dosage was increased don't you think you'd remember having that convo?

Good though BUT I know that narcotics in my state are written pretty specific in a way that you can't really modify it. Aka the entire thing is typed out and the only thing written is the doctors signature.

Yeah we don't really allow questions about filling scripts. It's too speculative. If it were me I would definitely contact the doctor about the 2 mistakes on the prescription. I wouldn't want to destroy my doctor's trust in me.

Please PM me if you have any questions. Closed.
