in any case, with your precise bottled doses of excipient, syrup and DXM, please enjoy in moderation - or in combination w/Olneys et al.
 
i myself not a big DXM user but the few times i have done it i have felt fine in terms of nausea and all that, i've never been sick and the trips were alright. Only stuff I've used in the Robo DX. Its all a bit of fun i spose, beut hey I myself prefer dodgy street drugs ;)

heheh good call BT :) dont fuck with the robo!!! i have seen 'tough guy drug fiends' who 'go hard son' crying like babies, curled up in the foetal position from taking too much DXM. its quite a humbling experience to get fucked over by DXM, almost a near death experience as you can be quite convinced that your gonna die.

DXM is a very complex drug, and the conversion into DXO is particularly interesting. i think a persons enjoyment of DXM is quite affected by how much your enymes can convert to DXO. Its hard to distinguish which metabolite is doing what, but the DXM faq generally states that physical effects are caused by DXO and the mental effects by DXM.
i find the dissociating effect of DXO to be enjoyable in the right dose, too much results in a very uncomfortable nausea.
im not a fan of the mindfucking effects of DXM, as in combination with my body going nuts i get convinced im dying... which kinda 'kills' the euphoria!!! This is why i dont redose. your liver will be saturated at this point, so basically all that DXM will enter your brain unchanged. things rapidly go downhill from this point....

i theorise that people who enjoy DXM are probably experiencing a higher DXO level than people who dont like it... combined with some cannabis you get that 'psychadelic smack' sorta feel. without frying the noodle too much!!

of course im almost surely wrong as there are probably people out there who enjoy the whole range of effects, but to me the DXO element seems the most desirable.
 
DXM is a REAL drug - every time you buy it from the chemist you are getting a known concentration of 100% pure DXM HBr in a glucose syrup which allows accurate dosing for a controllable experience.

Ecstasy and other street drugs, on the other hand, can easily be FAKE drugs, where you risk ingesting an unknown quantity of unknown chemicals hoping to get high.

Personally don't like DXM but i grant the people who favour DXM and still respect them.
It really is not a childish drug. If being in cough medicine makes it a immature drug then i guess Heroin must have been an immature drug as it was in cough medicine once as well. I really can't see your hypothesis...
Knowing whats in it just makes it more safe much like alcahol except there are know age restrictions which maybe where you pulled your conclusion.

i stand by my opinion, w/or without marijuana, it is the shittiest, dirtiest disassociative high i've tried, couple of industrial solvents notwithstanding - what we used to call a "grade-school buzz" - granted, said chemical can be potent, and undeniably real, but what is the pleasure - or purpose / learning in it?

on another note, ever wonder why this chem, with its long history of abuse as a psychoactive, still remains unscheduled?

i believe it is because the addiction is self-limiting (no pleasure in it) and as such would never pose a problem at large.

i further believe that all primates - even the higher ones that oft frequent Bluelight - will, sooner than later, cease self-administering even pure doses of DXM....

when they find real drugs, hheh... ;-)

Well anyway To each there own opinion I guess. Addiction does occur for people who find DXM addictive. Some writers are inspired by the creativity it induces and the mere fact that in some ways it is considred a nootropic. Some even consider it a nootropic. but I personally don't find it euphoric but i'm glad i experimented with it as i felt i did learn from it's negative experiences. I'm sure some people do enjoy it. We'll just have to see about its scheduling though. The fact remains that its good at being a cough supressent and therefore remains in the market.
I can see how you would think that it's a waste of time, pointless and pathetic. But i'm sure theres someone who is the opposite and loves the feeling it brings. Everyone reacts differently especially the unlucky 7% who cannot convert DXM because they lack CYP-2D6. all i'm saying is respect other peoples opinions and don't be close minded like anti drug campaign, who just see every bit of drug use as destructive. I think PCP is the worst disassociative physically and mentally. but each to their own opinion....:\
 
Baker my friends find if they take motion sickness pills while tripping on dxm they dont get the nauseating feeling...
 
Doesn't the Benadryl Dry Cough Forte have Guaniffesen (sp?) in it, which gives you bad diahorrea if you take it in high doses, i.e. enough to get an effect from the DXM?

Nope, the Benadryl Dry Cough Forte has nothing but DXM, the normal Dry Cough however contains other actives. 15mg\5mL
 
i've been wanting to try DXM for a long whilw now... pity - i had half a bottle of Vicks 44 sitting on my shelf which i used when i was genuinely sick - i shoulda chugged it :/ i think i saw the 'Hydrobromide' and thought there was something other than dxm in there.

Can you buy it at the supermarket?
 
say u r actualy sick, and the syrp is what can be used to relive it, will the experience be any different?
and how much would u take if you wanna see stuff ? (hallucinate(spelling?)) .. iv neva tried it b4 and only ever tried md pills.. first experience i hallucinated and loved it, iv read that this is a effect of DXM n wouldnt mind having that happen the first time i take it...
and with people that say they feel like they are going to die.. how much more would it take for it to actualy be fatal, and how much for death?

Not recommended! I told my friend to do this. Motion sickness pills, when taken in large quantities are very, very bad. When taken with DXM they are fun for awhile... but I don't think they are good for your health. My friend T thinks he still has side effects from his one time with Motion sickness pills. The general consensus among drug users is that motion sickness pills=bad.

Some people like them, but I strongly advise people not to take them. If you want to get rid of nausea, smoke weed or change what from of DXM you take.
 
skm, DXM is very very different to MDMA, and the effects are probably not exactly what you are expecting. If by way of primal urge you must try DXM, (I do not recommend DXM for anyone who is not experienced with hallucinogenics) I recommend you have around 200mg. Do not be confused with mL and mg. I suggest buying a 100mL bottle Robotussin DX - this brand ONLY - and having half of it to begin with. Half a 100mL bottle will dose you with 150mg of DXM.

I've had DXM a couple of times, and highly respect its potential. One friend, who was not very experienced with hallucinogens (although smoked a lot of weed and had tried MDMA), had a very traumatic experience. Extended periods of nausea propelled by disturbing closed eye visuals, and the frightening thought of facing my mum the next day while still tripping. She was unable to fathom that the trip would be well and truly past by then. That was a 90mL dose, so about 270mg.

I cant wait for my next ROBO-ride

planing to do it with a few mates this week end up at a mates beach house....all are very experienced users and like to go to the third platoue... i my self have only gone to the end of the second and quite enjoyed it... very nice visuals of being in the big brother house with the big brother members.... i think this time ill bring some ambiant trance which really seems to be the go with DXM...

anyone got any good site for dxm i have found a few but i wanna learn more...

Half a 200ml bottle of Robotussin DX will bring you to 300mg. This is the dose I started with and had a quite pleasent experience... Your friend who had a traumatic experience was most probably either enzyme deficient or absorbed the DXM alot faster than most of us. It is wise to just try 100mg(thats about 33ml) just to make sure you arn't enzyme deficient if it is your first time taking this drug...
