Decor for your campsite
Baloons (Ed: Can I make a general note here about nangs and baloons etc. I know its popular at doofs, but its still considered very taboo in all but a select few groups, and at the larger festivals there are children, adults etc. Please nang in the privacy of your own campsite, out of view from the general public. Turning blue on the dance floor from sucking in a giant baloon isn't very attractive. Also, PLEASE clean up all those nangs afterwards. Have a dedicated bag for them.)
A bubble blower
A doof book with colured pencils and pens.... so people on acid can draw there crazy pictures and write down their spiritual revelations
Instruments- bongo drums, woodblocks etc. (Ed: Please bongo politely. Nobody likes a guy bashing on drums out of time to the music, louder than the music)
A kalidescope
Tweezers
A camera and pen and paper
a safty pin to pin my keys to me (Ed: Also those skate neck tag things with the removable clips are good)
bouncy shoes
Loads of Cigarrettes (complete with good ashtray. Don't want to be responsible for an early close due to bushfire, burnt cars and smouldering hippies!)

ok many say what do i need for my first doof
wel after many years of partying out in the bush there are many things to pack for a bush doof
* water- there are soem times water avalable at partys but its always best to bring your own, a 5 or 10 leter spring water container is best or an over nighter
*clothing - think pratical think of the weather think comfort. good sturdy boots or comfotable sneakers, long pants jumpers, good warm jacket and a spare change of cloths just in case
*torch - remeber you are out in the bush there are no street lights to guide your way at night once you leave the dance floor so make sure you have a torch with you
* toilet paper - there is hardly ever a toilet at a doof so take your own and go for a littel walk into the bush (again see above as to a good reason to have a torch as every oen els will ahve dont teh same and you dont want to tread in it do you)
*tent - most times there is some were to set oen up, its a good idea as gives you some place to do chill. snuggle up with a sleeping bag, and get some sleep before the drive home
*food - fruit is always a good option in the morning helps put back in what you may have lost in all that dancing the night and morning and afternoon. (i also like to take backed beans with me as the carbs are always good for you as well)
*sunnys - remeber this is not a nigth club that finished at 5 am this is the australian bush and the partys go till teh mid afternoon
*sunscrean - again the is the aussie bush slip lop slap or look like a lobster
*think of your comfort - this is optional but always a good idea bring banket/picnic rug cushons fold out chairs (you will see most doofers have a good camp chair (with a beer holder built in) to relax in)
*a basic first aid suply - there is always some oen who is trained in first aid at a party but is always a good idea to take some basic with you. pain killers bandaids
*the most important thing - a big smile and an open mind
