VIC - RAINBOW SERPENT FESTIVAL 2007 FRIDAY JAN 27th-30th REVIEWS!!

I just wish my mates were interested! I spose im the only real tripper out of my group too so that increases my interest even more. Going solo would be quite weird, i'd feel so lost i wouldn't know what to do with myself. I may go, ill probably drive if i do so ill let people know if anyone may need a lift?

Seems quite a few will be going straight to this from Rainbow... and some of us will be driving back home and then back to Vic... cars & vans loaded with goodies for visual and aural pleasure and to showcase how our parties rock da farkin casbah over here =D

I'm excited!!! Looks like i'm flying woooooooooooooooooo no 14 hr train trip for me this year.

I do need a lift to the airport from the party though tuesday arvo (30th) or into the city to get a shuttle etc if anyone can help me out? Thanks shorza for the lift TO the party though =D Yay camping with bluelighters at a 'doof' this will be interesting ;)

Psy – I don’t live in vic. I'm in nsw and this is my 4th rainbow in a row now. I gave up my BDO's for rainbow. Wouldnt miss it for the world :D

Cd – I'm sure if you don't have anyone to go with you can join one of us camping etc? no one should not go to rainbow cos they dont have anyone to camp with!!

it's only 2 weeks away. OMG i'm excited. I think the only thing I am shelling out some dollars for this year is one of those really good eskys, my mate bought one last year and by the end of the festival we were stealing there ice. A good esky is a must trust me.
 
Hey so whats the policy on booze might I ask, the website says no excessive booze, so does that mean there will be people looking through cars ala Earthcore?
 
No it's not like earthcore, i've never had the car searched and don't expect too

Looks pretty cool....Damn school, I'll have to be back on tuesday I think. Maybe I'll have to skip a bit...
 
Even at earthcore.. they just do a surface check to see if there is loads of slabs and kegs in the car. Everyone manages to get beer in anyway...

If you do happen to bring in a few slabs.. just be sure to put them at the bottom of your boot and they will not be found. :)

The only reason they search at earthcore is because they want you to spent money in the licensed area buying *their* beer at over the top prices, instead of bringing your own. And they went nuts on our boot at earthcore, even though we spread the 6 packs all around in bags and under shit, they still found two of them. Luckily our spirit collection remained well hidden however.
 
They do not search for alcohol at Rainbow. It's a BYO and liscened event I believe, even if it isn't liscenced they won't confiscate your grog.

Nobody will have any problems bringing piss up.
 
Still have the gimp arm but we're heading along. Hopefully I can help Emma put up our huuuuuuuge tent or else... We're fucked :\ Should be all good tho, IT'S RAINBOW =D

Doing the big usual inventory check this weekend just to make sure we have all the usual handy items (lamps, citronella candles, batteries etc. etc. etc.)

Only definite I know is we'll be boogying (to whatever extent I can do with my arm) to the Market Stage on sunday. Supporting Heath as usual BIG TIME =D

There is no licenced area at rainbow, they only ask that you do not take excessive alcohol in.

I don't think 2 bottles of vodka, a bottle of jagermeister, a bottle of tequila and a bottle of pink is excessive....

Yeah that's what i meant. Since rainbow doesn't have the whole licensed thing they really have no reason to search. And what on earth is pink? I hope it's nothing like yellow, ugh worst drink ever.
