VIC - 'One Perfect Festival' - REVIEWS - Sawyer Park

What?^^^

That a couple of our own kids have organised a youth music festival in Hirdham of all places deserves to be congratulated. You've done well guys, you should be proud and I hope it's a roaring success!

Sadly, it's a bit far from Brissie, but all those bitching about it, why not just keep your mouths shut huh?

if you guys spearheaded this project yourseles, i admit, thats a fucken good effort. although, i wont be there.

good job guys. although none of the acts appeal to me i'm sure the youth of the region will appreciate it very much. i just hope the name of the festival wasn't a take on that god awful anti drugs/rave film.

Sorry Kids.
It doesn't really sound like my cup of tea. That and i think that the spazzy's should be burnt on a stake, this is of course after haivng their eyes carved out with blunt rusty spoons, and and they have been drawn and quartered.

The spazzy's are not Musicians.
They should not be being paid for making that noise.
If they can get paid for that shit, i should record my friend'd cat giving birth and sell it.

The end.

I second the claims made by chik and moebro.

Although, i do think you have done a fantastic effort organising it. It would be such a hard thing to do, but i hope all goes well, and i'm certain that all the kids out there will really appreciate all the effort you two have gone to! <3

I think you guys have done brilliantly!
If I lived a little closer and and not in North Queensland I would come.
what I want to know is how long has this taken to organise?

=D Thanx CQ! It'd be good if you could make an aperance tho :(

It's taken lahlah, myself and 3 other people around 2 - 3 months to orgaise it all :)

Damn right, I can't stand the Spazzy's but I'm pretty sure that other people do... maybe :\ lol. Your congrats is much appreciated!! <3

Oh CR, considering this is a "youth committee" which is probably affiliated with some local government body: did you tell the rest of your group that you're posting an advertisement on a message board that has a primary focus on drugs?

Some people are of the frame of mind that youth events should be kept drug free.

just some food for thought.

That's pretty fucking harsh dude... And from no on let's make an Aus Social pact, we won't say anything unless we actually do it...

Fuck it Chik... I'll drive, you're coming we'll all go up and show that town how to party... Then we'll see how people react to our faces' rather than behind our backs, or online :P....

What an awesome idea! We should do that for all the events!

People should just venture outside of Aus Soc and into Events once in a while... ;)

Plus...its just more work for the three aus soc mods if they have to always bump through things to events...

^that was my point ;)

^No matter where it is advertised, people are still going to use.

Then why dont you ask the committee if they aprove? I'll wager you good money they wouldnt. This isnt a "privately" run event for capital gain, its a "youth event" thats being put on by a public body.

You may not realise it but they actually have to worry about bad publicity.

I can *see* the headlines of your local rag should they ever find out.

As a concerned citizen, i feel its my civic duty to send an email to your lcoal council to inform them of certain aspects regarding the promotion of this event.

WHY WONT ANYONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN??

Seems that CR didnt answer my question...?

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

Yeah well i think its just a matter of him being able to give it but cant take it. Even if you are indeed raising a valid point.

Cause I'm not on it, it's not *my* responsibilty..

If you feel its necessary to inform the council about the way this has been advertised, then go ahead.

I'm getting caught in the middle of this.. Maybe I should just stop.. :\

Dear Horsham Council:
I am writing to inform you that I will be bringing lots and lots and lots of dangerous drugs to this "One Perfect Festival"... And being that I am such a nice guy I won't even charge the little kiddies for the drugs. I will be handing them out left right and center. May I suggest a jumping castle? Not so kids can jump on it, no. So as there is a place for all the 10-12 year olds' in k-holes to pass out. Also can I please suggest the worlds BIGGEST bulbanator, if we can fit 100 bulbs' in it, then kids can come and suck for 5 seconds, then the next kid. It will be a grand event to rival many. And If I find out ONE single kid there hasn't had any drugs, be sure that I'll spike his or her drink...

Yours Faithfully...
FaTz...

I probably won't be in attendance due to my own sheer laziness - sad, but true!

I would like to say, good on you for being involved in the organisation of an event for your own country town. It's good to hear that you're making the effort to better other youth - if anything this shows a real maturity.

I hope everything goes well and good luck!
