valium=worthless

ive done close to every benzo there is in the book available in the usa. within reason. why do so many ppl like diazepam? that shit is utterly worthless. i can chew 10 of those up and feel nothing whatsoever. yet i constantly read reports about ppl saying its the best benzo and how its euphoric. kpins use to be my fav, now they are almost just as worthless but still better than diazepam. xanax is good, roofies gave me euphoria, benzos in general are worthless to me now except to potentiate other drugs and help- me get to sleep or take the edge off a speed binge.
You're lucky they do that much... benzos don't do sh*t to help me sleep, and little to potentiate other drugs or take the edge off anything... mostly just useless to me, period. Definitely nothing I can get high off, or even a buzz. No effects on my memory either, positive or negative.

Valium is the most euphoric benzo I've tried. Ranking with lorazepam. They don't make me drowsy, if anything they make me more awake (not alert).

I just deal with my comedowns the old fashioned way. Fucking sober. *forces smile*

Yah ditto me & benzos... if anything, it's more difficult to sleep. Just wish I could say the same re: euphoria tho, I really just don't feel it anymore.

I say this in every benzo thread that anyone ever posts.... but the effects of benzos are very subjective. Everyone's neurochemistry is different. Some people get more out of valium than other people do. Personally I find valium to be quite useful. It works well for my anxiety, relaxes my muscles and gives me some euphoria and relaxation. On the other hand I don't get as much out of xanax, while a lot of people enjoy it the most. It's all just a matter of personal preference. It's silly to think that your reaction to a drug is going to be the same as everyone else's. Always keep subjectivity in mind when discussing drugs, especially benzos.

^ I agree. If I remember correctly, its not scheduled, which is usually a good hint of recreational value.

phenobarbital isnt scheduled? although i'm not american i know its scheduled 3 or 4.

yeah i agree with the first post. I get a 50 pack of vals from the doc every 3 weeks and eat them all in a day or 2. maybe i have a relaxing chill session but fucken 40 vals should chill me out. i dont get people who use 1 or 2.

to the OP - (who never responded after his original post BTW)

you say you'd eat 10 valium and not feel anything. were they by any chance the 2mg pills? because if so 20mg isn't that high of a dose especially if your a benzo addict and are looking to get high instead of anxiety relief.

what doses were you taking of valium?

What MG?

Those people have a less tolerance to them than you do or are smaller in body weight. Or perhaps they are more sensitive to the chemical genetically. I don't get them either. LOSERS!@

you do know barbs were originally synthesized from cow shit i believe, ill look up and give ya a source.
urea is piss right? well here it is
Barbituric acid or malonylurea or 4-hydroxyuracyl is an organic compound based on a pyrimidine heterocyclic skeleton. It is an odorless powder soluble in hot water. Barbituric acid is the parent compound of a large class of barbiturates that have central nervous system depressant properties although barbituric acid itself is not pharmacologically active. The compound was discovered by the German chemist Adolf von Baeyer in 1864 by combining urea and malonic acid in a condensation reaction. Malonic acid has since been replaced by diethyl malonate.

Cool man, I didn't know that. I wonder how they found out barbituric acid was such a cool parent compound. I guess they just synth the acid and mess with it. Then some chemist accidently injests it. Thats how they found etropine.(that really strong opiate, I may have the wrong name). Some chemists used a stir rod with his coffee that hadn't been cleaned 100% and it ended up killing him.

Auctually, a lot of chemists have died in the name of science/wake of a new discovery. The unsung heros of science.

my friend and i took 25 pills each of valium.......he went out like a light and slept for a day and a half, i on the other hand couldn't even sit in one position long enough to contimplate going to sleep lol...i was up and about for ages...i was so frustrated....haven't had them since! tis wierd that peoples way of handling drugs is often different

^ That's how I react to benzos at times. Mainly clonazepam does that to me.

Valium and Lorazepam are the real only two I care to do.

^ Paradoxical effects are a very real thing, particularly in the young, the old, and the drug-addled :)

Interesting aside: phenobarbital is like speed to cats.

Hmm. Let me see- valium = weak? Yes, but consistent.

Valium = slow? Yes, but consistent.

Valium = dull? Yes, but ............

It's not great for recreation but it does seem to do the same 'thing' every time, which cant be said for other benzos. Valium is a beacon of stability in a world of fragility.

valium is probably my favorite benzo by far. Much more euphoria (as far as benzos go at least) and longer lasting than any other I 've had. I've had klonopin, valium, xanax, ativan, and triazolam (halcion). I've also had midazolam for surgery and it was good for a few seconds but knocked me out. lol. Never used it recreationally...nor do I use any for recreation any more. If I did though it would be valium.

It's not worthless but it's one of the last benzodiazepines I would seek after along with other weak and 'expressionless' demethylated or oxidized derivatives (temazepam, oxazepam).

please, you should state that temazepam is IN YOUR OWN OPINION, "weak". It is far from weak, in fact, it is among the strongest of the benzos.

we all have different opinions and preferences when it comes to drugs and most of that has to do with our experiences, emotional attachments and other perceived psychological effects to certain drugs.

However, all that has little to do with scientific fact and medical community conclusions on drugs and their effects. Temazepam is classified as a hypnotic benzo, and as such, it is known to induce powerful sedative and amnestic effects - significantly more powerful than the anxiolytics like alprazolam, lorazepam, clonazepam, diazepam, oxazepam, and others.

Did you know that temazepam is the benzo that is most often involved in overdoses (whether used alone or in combo with other depressants) than all other benzos?

Did you know that temazepam is one of the few benzos that have a cross tolerance with barbiturates? the other benzos that have this characteristic are flunitrazepam, nitrazepam, flurazepam, and nimetazepam...and guess what they share in common with temazepam? They are all hypnotic benzos.

so please, do not give out ridiculous misinformation that could be dangerous. It is YOUR OPINION, it is not fact.

Benzo strength hierarchy goes something like this...

weaker benzos:
lorazepam, tetrazepam, oxazepam, diazepam, and the like

stronger:
alprazolam, clonazepam, bromazepam, etc

strongest:
temazepam, triazolam, midazolam, nitrazepam, flunitrazepam, etc.

I like how you just owned him. Good one.

I love how he puts attributes of character to a benzo. Like expressionless.

Maybe it's you, adder, who is the bore. You probably even bore the benzos.

or maybe Morphinator is just obsessed with comparing the so called "hypnotic" benzos to barbituates and insisting they are somehow different from other benzos. he posts the same weak scientific data over and over to support this, despite the contrary experiences of countless bluelighters. yes, they are more sedating but in my opinion it's like comparing oxycodone to morphine. people will tell you morphine is more sedating. does that mean oxycodone is any less powerful of a drug? no.
