Usually I can get through a hangover with just water, greasy food and maybe a couple of painkillers, but recently I've been getting absolutely crippling hangovers. I seem to get a slight hangover even when I haven't even drank very much or been drunk, so after a night of heavy drinking, I feel pretty fucking terrible. So much so that this has made me start to reconsider whether it's actually worth getting drunk, and quite often it isn't, but I do every once in a while. I have a small supply of valium for bad comedowns/bad trip situations, and have tried taking valium to help ease a hangover, but I don't think it did that much good for me. However, I think part of my problem is that after a night of heavy drinking I end up waking up very early (5-6am) and am unable to get back to sleep, so obviously I'm then having to deal with a hangover and being sleep deprived!
I remember someone on here saying that if they drink a lot, they take some valium before bed and it totally kills their hangover. Does anyone else have experience of this? And if so, how much is ok to take? I know mixing benzos and alcohol can be dangerous, but then lots of people also do it for fun... I feel like even if it doesn't do much for the hangover, at least being able to sleep a decent amount should help me function a lot better the next day!
Cheers
