Using someone else's needle

oh and be sure to research thoroughly before just ordering from the first suppliers of syringes and such online. Not all online companies are legit. its not that lickity split if you know what I mean.

there are websites and other places to read customer feedback, i recommend doing so before ordering anything online, let alone syringes.

thats really pushing the guideline limits of sourcing, just be careful with that especially if the user is clearly using the "suppliers" for illicit use. be careful, good-luk

please stop trolling me. i have noticed that you are starting to post directly to me, and you have even PM'd me even though i have asked you repeatedly NOT to PM me.

sourcing drugs and mentioning that harm reducing supplies are readily available online are two totally different things. you do not need to tell me to be careful, explain why posts are closed or give me any other information. ever.

Have you actually already used someone elses needle and started this thread in an attempt to make yourself feel better? If you have get yourself tested asap and don't be such an idiot ever again.

I have no problems with someone giving a source for needles, it realyl goes hand-in-hand with the entire "harm reduction" thing.. same with micron filters, etc... the exception is if that site also offers ANY drugs ...

I don't think saying you can get syringes online is the same as giving out sources. It's just the same as saying you can get syringes at a pharmacy or needle exchange. There general sources too.

blahblahblah: I get it, you're one of those historical revisionists - I saw that play at home & you were out! =D

====

raoul: you will be out too, if you share needles. Down... & out... of the permanent type. :|

=====

Now, just to make everyone squirm & feel sick to their stomach, when I was first got into\was around IV drug use in the early '70s, nobody thought twice about sharing rigs. There was no more thought about sharing a needle than sharing a joint. 8(

I even saw people share needles w/ complete strangers! 8o

It still makes me shudder 30 years later.

Me & my buds were lucky, I guess. We found out quickly that if you walked into a Pharm, as if it was the most routine thing in the world & asked for a "30 day kit for U-100", there was never, ever a hassle.

I experimented a few times back then & still do every once in a while. If I say anything other than "I would like a package of XXx U-100 syringes", I get rejected - I 50, always wear a short sleeve shirt & intentionally dress so I look straight laced & hard-corp Republican! hahaha....

But I can go in looking like I've been on a 3 week bender, long-sleeve sweat-shirt on a 90* day, looking like I should smellll horrid, & if I ask for "... a package of XXx U-100 syringes", bingo.

What a strange world we live in......

PS to Raoul: If buying online from a med supply, or just buying online makes you uncomfortable, you have two other options: online veterinarian supply, or off-line, go to what we call in the states, a "Feed Store" - a retailer that sells supplies & feed/grains to farmers for livestock. They will usually have syringes of all type & needles of all sizes.....

Enjoy, but be safe.....

Time to go,

damn...and thats the exact reason why i dont shoot up period...its just not worth it to me period..no matter how i look at it..there are PLENTY of drugs around that get you just as fucked up with a lower risk of some scary sickness just to get high for a little while...pointless if you ask me
Ok, that could be the most ignorant thing I have read all week in here, and knowing the bunch we have getting the award for "MOST IGNORANT COMMENT" REALLY, REALLY says a lot about you ...

First, there are no drugs, or should I say, ways of taking drugs that will give you the rush you get from IV'ing ... thats why you IV, you have the rush, and you can also get off on less then half what you'd have to snort, smoke, whatever...

Second, if you use CLEAN NEEDLES then it's not a problem ... I mean, in thousands of IV injections I have never had to "share" a needle .. maybe I'm not that filthy of a junky ... if you somehow are in a stuation where you MUST use a needle someone else used, then use the bleaching method ...

As for SOURCES for SYRINGES - I say thats ok AS LONG AS THAT SOURCE ISN'T AN ONLINE PHARMACY THAT ALSO OFFERS OTHER DRUGS ... I understand that in SOMESTATES it is illegal for a pharmacist to sell you syringes without a prescription, luckily MOST STATES are not set up like this, so you can walk into yer local pharmacy and simply say 'yeah, I'd like a pack of 10 1cc 29g syringes' .. or if you want to be more technical - 'yeah, I'd like a pack of 10 BD 1cc 29g Ultra Fines' .. even in a state where it's technically illegal to sell a syringe without a prescription, some pharmacists will still do it ... also, some links were posted for needle exchanges - these are god-send ...

And trust me, I don't care HOW oposed you are to IV drug use - you give me your arm for a few seconds, I promise you won't feel a thing and in a few seconds your entire view on the subject will be forever changed... you can deny it now, but I have taking the IV virginity of plenty of "your types" and in 100% of those cases, it wasn't the "only time' .. or "just this once" like so many said as the surgical steal broke the skin ...

IMO
i think its good people remain ignorant about IV. i am sure i will reap scorn from other harm reductionists for saying the following:

No matter how experienced you are there's always a small chance of bacteria entering the bloodstream - i know two ppl who have endocarditis. . There is always a big chance of it increasing your habit (if you are on opiates). For the more ignorant - there's always the chance of abcess, ulceration, DVT, and a chance of ODing.

I have had thousands of hits, am ultra clean. I only used pharmaceutical drugs like methadone IV, or diamorphine IV, which we are lucky enough to obtain in the UK. The former has led to a lot of vein damage due to is highly acidic make-up. But no matter what drug you use, each time you peirce a vein it makes scar tissue, the more times this happens the less you can access your veins.

IV'ing isnt good no matter what way you look at it. After a number of years the rush diminishes, making the whole thing really not worth it.

Rinse with bleach 3 times and water 3 times and that should be good.
Alcohol doesnt killeverything use BLEACH.
Disposable needles go dull after breaking skin 2 or 3 times....go buy a 10 pack of**** BD - u 50 insulin syringes, ultra fine ****

Fuck u dumb retarded cunts, trying to scare me. My original question was if the person who's needle it was is clean, no dieseases, then if i used it, after having it cleaned with alcohol and water, having just poked in my vein, not shot, would i be safe from diseases?

Then what the fuck kind of dumb question is that? If you use a needle with no diseases in it will you get a disease? Are YOU mentally impaired??

If you want an answer, clearly spelled out for you, then *ideally* NO you would not get a fucking disease.
However, the kind people here at bluelight have chosen to WARN you that it is NEVER a safe practice to share needles. Scaring you, my ass.

And, goddamit, if you're scared by factual information from experienced users, why are you even engaging in these practices in the first place?

Well because i was drunk and was addicted to opiates and had none, but the guy i was at who i know pretty well decided to give me a shot but he had his own needles but we cleaned it. And he didnt shoot me up beacuse he said he missed even tough i seen a track mark on my vein for about a week after that. Yeah...that was it.

Just get yourself tested so you'll know for sure and always have your own supply of needles. I think the only dumb cunts here are you the one who shared his needle with you- you could have anything for all he knows.

Well ill probably get tested, but some here sound real mean like trying to scare me and shit. However i did clean the needle thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and afterwards with lots of water. Assuming he had now aids and no hepatitis c or nothing, what can happen i hope probably nothing, really what are the risks here.

And well if i get tested positve which i most likley won't, i can still go slice the guy's head off or his daughter's or his wife's u know, or sue him or some shit..since i still got the capsules he was selling, and have friends who've bought from him.......

How do you know he doesn't have HIV or hep C?

The reason some people here sound like they're trying to scare you, is because you've shared needles with someone without adequately cleaning them. It's a very high risk activity, and can easily lead to the transmission of a blood borne virus.

Do you want someone to tell you that what you did was totally safe? It's not going to happen. Sharing used injecting equipment that hasn't been properly cleaned is a high risk practice. Rates of hep C amongst people who inject is very high, in some places over 90% of injectors are positive.

Don't make assumptions about whether or not someone has a blood borne virus, because there's no way you can tell.
