It's interesting how you can read my bluelight posts over the years and get a sense of my history with drugs:

Psychedelics have at times helped me gain perspective about how my use of drugs has caused me problems. They've helped me immensely in what is now 8 months of sobriety from alcohol, which was a very serious problem for me. Now I'm getting in trouble with heroin. I'm weighing my options carefully. Do I try to use a psychedelic trip to set myself straight? Or what?

(~3 years later: I quite psychedelics, more or less, and all drugs except for suboxone, valium, and an occasional amphetamine, all prescribed.)

Once upon a time LSD helped me defeat a serious heroin addiction.
Its not a miracle cure, I had to put in a lot of effort since to abstain, with some minor failures.
But it really pulled me out of a dark place, and I've never felt as hopeless as I did before the big trip's.

Being an addict is rough, I was homeless and down and out. Lucy and friends pulled me above water.

Used to IV coke, and opiates~ after enjoying psyches and mdma, I couldn't imagine touching a needle ever again. I go months without even using psyches either. Life is a lot better for me thanks to them.
