Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this has been covered before. I did do a search on it, but came up short. I haven't been around these parts in a long time.
Does anyone else on here use benzodiazepenes completely as an alcohol SUBSTITUTE, rather than in combination with alcohol? I don't drink, but I like to take 4mg Klonopin when I go out clubbing because, to me, it seems to have the same desired effects that alcohol would have in a club situation. My inhibitions become looser, I'm bolder with my statements, I make out with more people, I'm more impish and flirtatious. BUT, I'm not sloshy, I don't get nauseous or hungover, I don't lose my balance, I can still dance great. Benzos are definitely not a 'club drug' in the way that MDMA or speed is, but in a strange way I find Klonopin absolutely tailor-made for nightclubbing. If I only use on Friday and Saturday nights, I get absolutely no withdrawal symptoms throughout the week (at least not yet).
I know that I should acknolwedge that Klonopin has a long half-life and is habit-forming so it's reasonable to say I'm playing with something a little serious. But hey this is OD so this is pansy shit.
Does anyone else use Klonopin or another benzodiazepene as a literal substitute for alcohol? Most people combine benzo's with alcohol. I just can't stand the feeling of being drunk (or the taste of alcohol, for that matter). In comparison with other benzos, Klonopin gives me a pronounced, up euphoria, totally different from Valium or Xanax, but I know mileage wildly varies with benzodiazepenes.
Anyway... tangentially related ideas?
love
